hm. i have considered that if zanya does take this whole apprentice thing relatively seriously (perhaps because hes avoiding … everything else en masse) theres a good chance other people in his inner circle are probably also helping out with showing katari the ropes.
#oc: katari mennadia#this is literally just me making excuses for why katari and theron should get up to trouble together#(another sign that says this isnt a nuclear family)#but#amusing to me if him and malavai are also teaching them things#and cele (to zanyas annoyance)#and osiris#and lana#and so on and so forth#i just think its cute#as zanyas apprentice he does expect to eventually pass off the alliance to katari in the futyre#maybe not at first#but eventually#so getting them a well rounded education is important#given katari has a closer skillset background to theron than anyone else#so theyre a little out of their depth with the force users#malavai attempts to teach them military strategy#theyre not only bored but deeply confused#but also do his mock trials like a game of risk#which confuses the fuck out of him#how on earth are their projections winning#when they just responded ‘i wanted to take the rest of the board’#hes going more and more grey#beyond zanya not wanting kids i think katari is like#i already had parents and i love them and i dont want to replace them#but i am warming up to the idea they may be a little more familial than i thought#blurry defintions for all!#katari says they dont have favorites#zanya may be their favorite#they are also a master of impressions
