ive had multiple conversations with ppl and always see ppl talk about how much they love interstellar. how its the best movie its their favorite and yeah its a great movie but i could NEVER rewatch it. the amount of anxiety and straight up dread that i felt while watching is so heart wrenching i never want to feel that again. also its 3 fucking hours

Lmao people out here acting like I've just shown up to compare faves (Finn vs Kylo Ren) like holy shit this has bigger implications than some stupid fandom drama and ship wars. Characters of color constantly getting shafted in favor of white characters (straight cis male, especially) has like, greater echoes in real life. And by constantly framing characters of color to get ignored by fans while white characters are put on a pedestal, we are opening the door to normalize the same kind of behavior in the real world. I'm not fucking around. Fiction affects reality and what we should have been given is a mainstream Hollywood narrative where fascist, murderous assholes get stomped into the ground, rather than supported, coddled, and uwu bendemptioned. Finn deserved better. Finn deserved to be the hero who gets the girl and Kylo deserved defeat, not a kiss from a person he tortured, stalked, and abused. Instead rape culture won again, a white male abuser got away with it again, while the characters of color got sidelined. Again. Don't even get me started on what they did to Rose Tico. I'm pissed.
