WARNING: MY OPINION

You can’t love a character fully if you can’t even acknowledge the horrible things they did. Like yes Bellatrix tortured people, has horrible beliefs, should be in jail, and doesn’t deserve any grace for her horrible and unjustifiable actions. Does that stop me from loving her character? No. Does that stop me from enjoying content of her character? No. See? I can understand characters CAN do BAD AND HORRIFIC THINGS LIKE GENUINELY DESPICABLE THINGS but I ACKNOWLEDGE HOW HORRIBLE THESE THINGS ARE instead of pretending she didn’t do them and crafting up a new personality and version of her that never did these things. Yes Narcissa called Hermione slurs and is a pureblood supremacist at her core. Does that stop me from loving or enjoying her character? NO! SHES FICTIONAL! SHE DID BAD THINGS BUT I KNOW THEY ARE BAD !! does Barty being a loyal asf DE and torturing people for their political beliefs make me despise his character? As a person, sure, as a character? No. Does Remus almost leaving his pregnant wife make me hate him?? It made me want to punch him bc that’s horrific dude wtf but I still love his character. THESE CHARACTERS OBJECTIVELY DO BAD THINGS. STOP TRYING TO PRETEND THESE CHARACTERS DONT HAVE FLAWS AND ALL SUPPORT MUGGLES WHEN SOME ARE LITERAL OPPRESSORS. PLS.

If you want to enjoy the characters, pls try to genuinely understand them first.
