yes it is beautiful! i think it mostly states how he feels towards elain and the bond, but it also helps the readers to understand his motives for leaving to find vassa. like he was depressed, full of pity and sadness, he left like he failed feyre, was the cause of elains unhappiness and felt guilty for having a mate in the first place bc of jesminda. he needed to leave to prove himself and to make himself useful again. he needed to do something to pull himself out of that funk, which is y i think he’s incredibly capable of pulling elain out of her “rock bottom” point in her life.
