Pinpointed my main trouble getting out of bed on my days off work as “air COLD, floor COLD” and not having the mental spoons at the end of the day to lay out clean pj pants/leggings, t-shirt, sweater, and fuzzy socks in easy reach. Have solved this today by purchasing slippers and a robe, both from the men’s section.

Slippers go all the way around the heel and have internal warmness without exceedingly floofy exterior decoration, which means I can take the recycling out in them without my heels getting cold or the decoration dragging in a puddle. They’re a nice dark brown.

Robe is SUPER SOFT, thick enough to be warm, and has like a foot and a half more length than the robes in the women’s section >_< picked the light grey so I look like Gandalf. I have been putting off getting one because I don’t want to remind myself of my stepdad too much, but he never wore a gray one. I’m not reminded of him by my brother wearing on, since they’re such different shapes and demeanors, but I was worried about myself. I think seeing it and thinking GANDALF! will help a lot, and then just sheer acclimation.

While there spotted some plaid button ups on sale, with more variety of green patterns than usual (heck yeah) and joked to my grocery buddy that if I add a handkerchief around my neck and a military regulation moustache, I’d be cosplaying my dad circa the nineties. Which of course means I need to do this at some point. It gaps a little more than I’d like on the chest, but it fits my hips and the next size up was way too big. Should be good for work, especially since I tend to just wear the plaids open over a plain black shirt that I can tuck into my jeans. It’s the style with one buttonless chest pocket, which I prefer to the buttoned two chest pocket style.

The slippers and shirt were on sale, it all added up to enough to use my coupon, they’re all things I’ll get a lot of wear out of. Pretty pleased. Low key excited to dress more like my dad (my other plaids are a different color scheme than he tends towards, or a thinner material) because people stopped telling me how much I look like him after I hit adolescence and I miss it.

Why are relapses worse than the original symptoms? 

I spent... I think two days in a semi-conscious state although I can’t say for sure that it was two days (edit, based on my chat history it was one day... fck me...) because, no matter if that was real or “just headspace”, I did not experience time in any meaningful manner, which is weird because I, as a being of space AND time can’t understand things that don’t incorporate at the very least a rough chronology as one continuity, but hey.

And ya’know what’s the biggest problem? Mists in my belief system are more or less an afterlife people experience while they dissipate into meaninglessness. Needless to say, I have finally experienced genuine dread and... I don’t entirely like it.
