“Casper!” Aster calls from the picnic tables, where most of the adults have been lingering while the kids occupy the pool. “You ready to blow out your candles?”
“Yeah!” Casper scrambles out of the pool, the sun-soaked sandstone tiles turning the water warm beneath their feet. “Cake time!” They announce to the pool before running over to their cake.
“Wait for us!”
“IGGY! Don’t PUSH me!”
“Make a wish, Casper!”
Casper smiles as their dripping-wet friends huddle around the table. Someone’s passed out confetti poppers, filling the air with little bits of color.
Casper stares at their cake, trying to think of a good enough wish. Not too silly, but not too, like, big either…but big enough…
Finally, they grin and fill their mouth with air.
I wish something exciting will happen to me. Soon!

Little thoughts head empty only the concept of the C4 cast getting together for a game night (like an Uno kind, not the D&D kind) and each and every person gets tipsy. Who’s the first to take their clothes off? Who’s the first to joke about spin the bottle and who’s the one who actually follows through with it? Who’s the biggest flirt and who’s the one who gets flirted with most (and why do I feel like it’d be Matt?)
