ahh ok so I love you guys but I'm gonna get to the point--in this fic D and H are professors but there are also kids in it like two kids that are like a younger D and H and all the kids know D likes her but she denies it and he teaches DADA and at one point he piles food on her plate for her! I know EVERYTHING except the name pls help !!!

Thanks guys. :) It was super nerve wracking and I’m sure I was bright red and I’m now not positive he knows I was asking him on a date, but I think he got it, and in any case it wasn’t weird or whatever after, like he still talked to me a few times (we were working in different parts of the store, though, so our paths didn’t really cross), and he did also say yeah, he’d like to get coffee, and give me his phone number, so, success?

Ok. So. I actually haven’t really talked about him here on tumblr at all? I think because I like him and was trying really hard not to? 

So, we work together, we also sorta went to high school together? In that I went to the all girls’ school in our area, and he went to the boys’ school, and we graduated the same year, and were at the same prom and grad night etc., and one of his close friends dated one of my close friends (so he remember my friend and I remember his), and we know a few other people in common, but we never met until we started working together. 

He’s kind of super dorky? Which I really enjoy? I think if I have ever referred to him on here it’s as comic book friend, because somehow when we first started working together we’d talk comic book stuff. Like, ‘weezly, did you hear about the Spiderman deal with Sony?’ Stuff like that. When I saw Age of Ultron, and had Opinions, I immediately wanted to talk to him about it. (He let me rant to him even though he hadn’t seen the movie yet.) Today we were talking comic books - like, he was telling me all about the Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine and the writing and stuff, and I was already five minutes over my break but I wanted to keep talking to him so I kept listening. And he’s super into games - like, he talks to this other coworker of ours about games whenever they work together, what they’ve preordered and have you seen the trailer for this yet, etc. I’m not a gamer so I don’t follow these conversations, but apparently Gears of War, or something, is a big deal? (Oh, he’s also really excited for the Dragon Ball Z movie.) 

He also studied screenwriting in college, so he’s a film guy. We talk movies a lot, but sometimes writing. (I studied playwriting in college.) According to facebook he won NaNoWriMo last year, and a few weeks ago he told me he’s working on a fantasy novel. (Of course he is.) 

Basically I don’t know him super well - we talk at work, and lately I’ve been making more of an effort to talk to him (because I like him), but what I know, I like. I feel like we would’ve been friends, had we met in high school, and I wanna get to know him outside of work, because he is someone I genuinely am interested in talking to. 

(I mean, I also think he’s cute, even though he recently cut his hair super short and shaved his beard (I was super here for the beard), so that doesn’t hurt, either.)
