Seems like the team principles really wanted to grab the spotlight this winter break as the drivers have been quite unproblematic so far.

here's the thing: i can understand mclaren wanting to change daniel. they're paying him a lot and the results are not what they expected. okay. fine. it is sport, it is a competition and it is cutthroat.

that's not what bothers me.

what bothers me is the way they've managed it. you let him take the fall, you let him post a statement about his commitment with the team, you let him cry in front of the entire factory, andreas publicly says that they're counting on daniel for 2023. and then behind his back, they're talking to someone else to give him his seat. and he's probably found out about it all through media outlets.

it's sick and twisted and not like a family at all and as a long-time mclaren fan i'm so disappointed because this is not they way you're supposed to do things.

i will add, tho, that sending threats to oscar who is simply trying to get in f1 (and has earned the opportunity) is not the way to go.

you want to blame someone? blame zak and andreas. yes, andreas too. because he is team principal and decisions do go through him.
