Kirara Confirmed Male?
Progress!
CRASH!
BANG!
BOOM!
Ram eyed Pentious’s door. The sound of yelling and squealing was barely audible over whatever was happening in there. Forgoing knocking they cautiously poked their head through and immediately came to regret that decision.
The full weight of an adult snake man and at least four egg minions came soaring through the air and crashed through the door. Ram stood no chance to get away. Instead being forced to bear the results of whatever Pentious had been concocting.
Staring up into the beady eyes of minion # 12 Ram blinked owlishly.
“You saved us!” the eggs cheered, the snake groaned. Sitting up while cradling the bois their eyes wandered from the snake in their lap to what used to be his room. A mangled melted metal contraption lay smoking in the center.
“Hey Pen?” Ram placed a hand on the other sinner's back.
“Yes?” His face was buried deep in the carpet so it came out muffled.
“Uh what were ya doin in there?” The question was met with a wail of despair.
“I was just trying to help!” A chorus of confirmation and encouragement came from the eggs.
“Yeah Boss was trying to help!” “Boss was doing the right thing!” “Don’t worry Boss, you’ll get it next time!” “You’re amazing Boss!”
Hushing the minions they picked at the suit jacket Pentious wore.
“What exactly were you helping with?” They continued to eye what looked to be a drill with too many hands.
“The hotel is so dirty.” Pen sniffled. “And Niffty is so small!” he pounded his fists against the ground. “What is going to happen when we get more guests? That is just too much for her!” looking from the contraption and then back to the snake Ram felt a stab of fondness. Rising up from the floor they balanced the eggs and Pen in their arms.
“Well then we should try again.” Big wet eyes snapped to look up at them.
“We?” Pentious’s lower lip quivered as Ram nodded.
“Then what are we standing here for? Let us get back to it!” Adjusting him in their arms as Pen threw his weight around Ram felt their eye ridges raise. Ideas and adjustments spewed from Pentious’s mouth. This new run was going to be bigger, better, and possess so many arms that it would run out of things to clean because it was going to be so damn efficient!
As the eggs cheered, raining endless admiration upon their Boss the moment was interrupted with a scandalized screech. Standing at the end of the hallway picking at bits of scattered debris was Vaggie. Her face pinched and fists balled.
“What in the hell happened here!” and with a puffed out chest and a staggering amount of confidence Pentious said,
“Progress!”
That was not the correct answer.
So I’m reading the reviews for the latest chapter of my fic, Not Quite Black, which is an OP OC-Insert story. The MC is a guy who’s androgynous enough (and acts like it) to be mistaken for a girl.
And there are some reviews (polite ones, to be in fact. But also... less than savory ones) that keep telling me that I should ‘change the MC to be a girl if you’re going to make him so girly’, in general. And I get that. It’s confusing when your character switches from ‘sweet goody-good shoes’ to ‘bad ass mother fucker off to beat ypur ass’. But I have my reasons:
1. His personality/mannerisms stem from his upbringing (spoilers)
2. He has been surrounded by people w/o motherly figures
3. He has expressed indifference/amusement when being treated/dressed up as a woman (seen when he had wanted to cut his hair before joining the Marines, but stopped his cutting (of his hair) until his departure when the girls in his village gave him sad eyes because his hair was perfect to play with/put flowers)
4. The rose tucked behind his ear is also important (spoilers)
5. Giggling is something everyone does. Even boys.
6. Crushes (especially kids’) are usually out of admiration. Sabo harboring a crush (when he was five) on the MC was a combination of awe, looking for an idol (that isn’t a petty noble/crazy old grandpa), being taken in by his kindness, and finding him aesthetically pleasing (aka pretty) to look at.
7. “Pretty boys” are real in both the real-life world and anime world. See: bishounens
8. Too bad for you, I like writing Baccara. So if you don’t like it, then look at the upper left corner of your website, and click the left arrow to go back from whence you came.
Line art for my character Arms! She’s a spunky, jump forward kind of person! I don’t have a proper name for her just yet but I’m kinda’ leaning on Tiffany? I’m working on a game and that name keeps popping up! I’ll be sure to post the finished piece later in the week!
I need to practice drawing androgynous people, so could you guys send some requests?
please
Parked at the beach finally
Welcome to the Inlet
Those who enter the lounge are overcome with a sense of calm. A soft inexplicable voice floats through salt scented air. Inside these walls there is no bloodshed, no worry, only the gentle ambiance of crashing waves and that unending melody. And if your fortunate enough you may even catch a glimpse of the one who sings .
This is The Siren, the proprietor of the Inlet. She wants for very little here in hell. All she wishes for is for people to listen to her sing.
These two here are a couple of The Siren's employees.
The top left is Ripple, she's a waitress who lives at Inlet. Languid and even tempered you can find her drifting through the haze that permeates Inlet. She is everywhere and anywhere inside the lounge, ready to top off your drink. No need to look for her, she'll find you.
And last but not least we have Tack, they are the Bouncer. Like Ripple they too live at Inlet. Tack takes their job very seriously. An immovable wall that guards the entrance to the lounge. Snapping and biting at any who think they can cause trouble here. If for a moment you even think about laying hands on anyone inside of Inlet they will take care of you.
