WAS IT THE LIQUOR OR THE COMPANY THAT MADE HIM FEEL INVINCIBLE? austin reckoned it was a bit of both. liz had a way of doing that to him and well - so could the right drink. though he preferred her company by far . . . especially when she looked like she did tonight. slowly he made his way back through the crowd from the bar, two drinks in his hand both a neon green not found in nature. he passed her off and his lips curved into a smirk as his eyes raked her form where she leaned against the wall, the two of them tucked into a corner. " have I told you that green is most DEFINITELY your color? " he asked, brow raised. both of them knew it wasn't the color that made the outfit. no, liz could be wearing a potato sack and she'd pull it off with her curves, her confidence. she proved that much with all the costumes she wore on nxt. anyone else and it'd be ridiculous but she radiated the energy of a queen in each. divine and deadly.
" so tell me . . . " he started, pulling his lower lip between his teeth for a moment to bite back a grin. the silence lingered in the air between them. " at what point do we get to politely say we've had our FILL of parties and I get to steal you away for myself ? " it wasn't that he wasn't enjoying himself, on the contrary. austin was having a good time being among his coworkers and friends. he liked watching them all give into the good vibes, any stress or anxieties melting away to just come and enjoy the night. but that didn't mean that he wanted to be here ALL night when he knew they could have their own celebration far from prying eyes.
