Hey Now,

It's really getting old- giving good advice and having it fall on deaf ears, Let me break it down the way every other job does: Perform at the minimum and forget what it does to you as a person, I will bounce you, gone, history, 86ed. I know most of you haven't seen me do this but trust me that I have done it hundreds of times over my career. I won't do it angry or with harsh words but you will be fired nonetheless. If you are curious if I am talking to you specifically, I will be glad to be direct with you, just ask. I don't have it in me to sit on top of people and actively manage them throughout the shift. I think it's insulting and if I have to do it to someone that needs tobe told how to do the job that you have been amply trained for then this isn't for you.

If you do it one way in Fenway then do it the same way in Brighton 99% of it is the same. I have noticed a divergence in the Yelp reviews between the two stores; it is a big enough sample size to make some conclusions, even factoring in nostalgia something happen in the last week and it will stop now. I need the same level of service at both stores. We have the same food vendors, prep cooks, recipes and all of you work at both stores multiple times a week, even morning in one and evening in the other. It’s very likely the same person made the salsas in both stores, with the amount of overlap.

I haven't mentioned this before, Maynor is the closing supervisor and if he asks you to do something just do it. If you don't like it, still do it. It's not as easy as it looks keeping an eye on everything so if he mentions it, it is because he is accountable for it. If you have some disagreement with what he asks of you, do it and then we can all three talk about it the next day. We are starting fresh as of this email. We are all going to be direct and polite with each other. If Maynor sees something he is not going to tell me, he is going to tell you.

This an easy fun job if you just do some basic things.

1. Look out for the customer-you be good to them and I will be good to you

2. Show up one time and be ready to work when you are scheduled

3. Treat all your coworkers the way you want to be treated

4. Don't be a full-on mooch, I am very generous with the pay rate, advances, bonuses, sick pay, t-shirts, and food allowances- I do this in hopes that people will not take advantage- for example if you work 6 hours in 2 weeks and in that 2 weeks you eat or give away five times your pay without giving anything back or going the extra mile. I take that as a personal fuck you.

Do not mistake my kindness and generosity for weakness
