Guitarspear edit I made!
(Song name- My angel. By Adrianne lenker)
I just remembered the concept of a lab au with the Galilean moons I came up with randomly before soo
General stuff:
Long story short, Earthlings did discover a way to bring celestial bodies to Earth. The intention is to study them
But interfering with the main planets, Luna or Sun was deemed too ricky for life on the surface
The fact moon were actually conscious was NOT expected, but it stopped nobody. And its not like anyone actually considers them as living being.
Moons are not humanized, they are still celestial bodies (as in they are made out of rock-water-metal, not bone and flesh), just extremely shrunk to make interaction possible
And soo
Ganymede
Is not as much of a radioactive hazard as Io and Europa are.
Doesn't mean he is not considered dangerous. His instrict magnetic field means a potential hazard to all electronics (which are also keeping the cells locked). Decision? Restain him. To the point where he is physically unable to move at all, so his magnetic field does not interfere with anything
Doesn't mean you are allowed to bring electronic anywhere near his cell without explicit permission tho.
Ganymede is... not exactly happy with what is happening. Or. Very pissed off. Being agressive does not make him earn more trust
Immobility does cause damage to his body, but its not like anyone can tell (or cares)
Usually has his magnetic field and ocean studied.
Callisto
The 'safest' moon. Has no dangerous radiation or magnetic field to ruin the entire system. And she's the calmest compared to Ganymede and Europa.
She mostly lets scientist do what they want. Not because she wants to, but because looking good in their eyes means they will eventually drop their guard with her as she thinks of the way out.
This goes to the point of telling information about others, just so she can gain trust. Maybe other Gallileans will be upset with her, but she'd rather for them to hate her, than being treated the way they are.
Has the biggest amount of extracted minerals. Simply because they are higher up in her surface since she is not differentiated.
Had actually managed to convince scientist for a bed to herself and Europa. And yes, their cells are originallycompletely empty, but it's not like moons are actually alive. It's fine. Ganymede didn't get a bed like the girls because any form of loosening his restaints is considered unacceptable. And as for Io...
Io
If there was ANY moon they regretted bringing in, it was him.
3600 rem per day. Even the best shielding was not enough against it. Any robot they tried to sent into his cell was destroyed because of radiation. Anyone who dared to enter his cell even for less that a minute died due to radioactive exposure. Hell, even approaching his cell (which was shielded in the best protection from radiation known to humanity) was considered dangerous.
In the end, he was thrown where radioactice waste is kept. Earthlings aren't exactly sure on what to do with him.
Good news: He isn't experimented on. Bad news: He does not take isolation well.
He is pretty much stuck in a dark metal room all by himself, nobody is allowed in for any reason, he is far too dangerous to be near of. Were those days that he sat here? Weeks? Years? He can't tell anymore...
Europa
Was also put in anti-radiation cell, but unlike Io it actually worked. You still need full suit to enter, but at least it is possible to interact with her. (Does not mean Europa wants to interact with them, and she makes it very known)
Most of her study revolves around potential for life. Because of the potential lifeforms, her treatment is somewhat more gentle compared to others. After all, earthlings don't want to harm actual living beings.
Her cell is also the most heavily tracked in terms of condition because of that life potential. If one Kelvin decline in tempreature for Ganymede or Callisto considered a minor mistake, for Europa it would be treated as emergency. So is humidity, or air pressure, or anything else. And this obviously means Europa herself is the most monitored
any crumbs for the next chapter please dear author :3
"I don't like to hurt you," you say softly.
[REDACTED] laughs quietly, the sound weak. "And yet you still did."
I wanna make yumeship comics again but i care too much about other people's opinions LMAO
thinking abt what anna may might have been thinking when scarlet (*cough* the love of her life) didn't return to the library for the first few days, weeks, months)
