ANGSTPRIL PROMPT LIST
Here is the official prompt list, in both the images below and listed as text below the cut. Happy creating!
Angstpril Day 13: “You Lied to Me”
“You lied to me,” Ahsoka growls, her carnivorous canines bared, “you lied to him!”
“Ahsoka,” Obi-Wan tries, hands raised placatingly. “I really am so—”
“How could you? We thought you were dead! Anakin didn’t talk for days and now—and now he’s gone!”
Obi-Wan feels as if the floor has fallen out from underneath his feet. How did he not know this? Was he truly so cut off during his mission that even the… departure of the Chosen One, of his Padawan, went unnoticed?
“He… he’s dead?” He manages to stutter out. Ahsoka’s expression shifts, softening ever-so-slightly.
“No,” she replies, and he feels something within him exhale in relief. “But he left. He left the Order. He-he left me.” She looks down and he sees her lip wobble, but refrains from reaching out. Not yet.
“Is everyone going to leave?” She asks despondently. “Am I destined to be alone?”
“Ahsoka…” Obi-Wan places a hand on her shoulder, drawing the Padawan into his arms when she doesn’t reject his touch. “I’m sorry. I won’t leave again, I promise.”
%#%#%
“Obi-Wan Kenobi,” the all-too-familiar voice smirks with a predatory smile, “I see the reports of your death were greatly exaggerated. A shame.”
“Listen,” the Jedi replies, “we don’t have to fight. Just… come back to the Temple. Come back.”
“You’re the one who left first, Master.”
Their blades clash, blue against red, as their bond snaps.

prompt: Don’t Look Back
warning for referenced/threat of slavery
ao3
"Stop." Anakin says. His voice is no longer panicked—suddenly it's clear as a bell, ringing with resolve. "Take me instead."
"What? Anakin, no—"
"If you take her, I'll stop at nothing." He's not threatening them; just stating as if he's reading from a GAR report. "I'll burn this ship to the ground and you with it."
"Step forward and she dies, Jedi," the slaver spits, finger hovering over the explosive.
"Then we'll all die." Anakin says, undeterred and—he's bluffing, right? He has to be. "And no one will walk away happy. But if you take me and let her go safely, I won't fight. I won't resist. You can do whatever you'd like to me." He grins, sharply. "I'm the better investment."
"He's bluffing," Another one of them says, not sounding convinced. "Besides, the girl will be easier to train." To break.
Anakin laughs with a bitter edge and pulls down his collar. There's a faint scar on his neck; a thin, small line she'd always thought was the result of some stray shrapnel. "I'm already trained."
She can feel the slavers' sudden sick pleasure. It's disgusting.
"Aren't the freed ones always more trouble then they're worth?" mutters a slaver in the back.
"No," Another says. "He's a Jedi, remember? They already answer to Masters."
Ahsoka can feel the blaster digging into the side of her skull ease up somewhat. The force suppressors are still locked tight around her wrists.
"Fine," says the one holding her. "We accept. Now drop the saber or we shoot."
"If you don't let her go safely, the deal is off." Anakin warns, and the room freezes with a sudden chill. The slavers seem sufficiently intimidated.
He drops the saber.
Suddenly there's a rush of movement from all sides—
Ahsoka finds herself shoved towards the escape pods—
Anakin is dragged down and manhandled into force suppressant cuffs—he doesn't resist—
The hatch begins to close—
"Don't look back, Ahsoka," Anakin shouts to her as her pod slides shut and she's left alone. "Don't look back."
She's launched into the yawning abyss of space, alone save for her sabers and a pre-plotted route to the campaign they'd left behind.
I’m doing Angstpril for an AU hesitantly titled “Qui-Gon’s Padawan’s Sith Lord” for now. Aka smol Padawan Anakin and his adopted former sith Lord Big Brother Obi-Wan. Enjoy!
Day One: “You have to let me go.”
Qui-Gon smiled up at him, so gently and kind as always and all Obi-Wan could do was cling to him, hope that help would arrive soon. This couldn’t be the end. He had promised Anakin he’d bring the Jedi back to the Temple. He had given the boy his word. Anakin would hate him if anything happened to Qui-Gon and it were Obi-Wan’s fault.
Obi-Wan would hate himself if anything were to happen to Qui-Gon.
The Jedi was annoying.
Always prattling on about the Living Force and the Light as if either had helped Obi-Wan during his imprisonment. He also kept making vegetable soups that Obi-Wan couldn’t stand he and got up way too early for his stupid morning meditations and he never minded when Obi-Wan was in a room with him or Anakin decided to sit on his lap as he meditated.
He respected their boundaries and he was kind and understanding and he could not die.
“You can’t leave,” Obi-Wan said, pressing his hands down on Qui-Gon’s wounds. Where were the stupid medics? They should have arrived ages ago. “Stay strong.”
“Obi-Wan, it’s alright.”
“No,” Obi-Wan hissed. “No, it’s not. You’re not going to die. We’re going to go home after this stupid mission and you’re gonna tell the dumb Council not to send you on shitty missions because you have to train Anakin when he’s old enough to become one of your Padawans with the ridiculous haircuts.”
Obi-Wan could see it clearer than any of his visions. That would be the future and Qui-Gon would not die here.
“You have to let me go,” Qui-Gon said. His face was getting paler by the minute.
“No.”
“Obi-Wan—”
“I refuse,” Obi-Wan stated. He didn’t dare look Qui-Gon into the eyes, afraid of what he’d find there.
Perhaps this attachment wasn’t the Jedi way of doing things, but Obi-Wan wasn’t a Jedi and no matter what Qui-Gon said, he knew the truth: he would have been a shit Jedi anyway, so he wasn’t going to start trying now.
“Just shut up and save your strength,” Obi-Wan ordered. “We’ll get out of this.”
And if they didn’t, Obi-Wan would raze this planet to the ground.

Angstpril day 5 - Amnesia
Kya was lying on a bed with her eyes open. There were people, many people. There was a tall, bald man with a woman by his side and four kids running around. Kya tried to say something, but instead of words, from her throat, so unused to speaking, came a raspy grunt. It was enough, though, for the rest to realize she’s awaken. They all gathered around her and looked at her worryingly. After a while of silence she asked gravelly,
“Who are you?”
The woman sobbed, while the anticipation in the man’s eyes was replaced by profound sadness, as he said,
“You suffered a grave injury, Kya. You’ve lost your memory. I am your brother, my name is Tenzin, this,” he pointed at the woman, “is Pema, and those are our children: Jinora, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan.”
Kya has never felt so anxious in her life. How could she forget her own brother and his family? Everything feels so unreal and unfamiliar. She felt helpless.
“I know this is a lot to take in,” Tenzin said. “Your wife should be here soon and you’ll be able to rest a little in privacy." And they left.
“My wife?” she asked. Kya looked at the nightstand and noticed a wedding ring. She picked it up gently and examined it carefully. She slowly put it on. “My wife,” she repeated those words, trying to get used to them. Suddenly, through the door entered a woman, about the same age as Kya, with grey hair pinned above her shoulders. She was wearing a metal armor with logo of the police. Her eyes were filled with worry as she locked eyes with Kya. The waterbender suddenly felt so light, as if a giant stone was lifted from her chest.
"Lin," she said with a smile.

prompt: dying words
[summary: obi-wan struggles to fulfill his master's dying words. luckily, anakin is there to help.]
-
“He is the chosen one. He will bring balance. Train him.”
The words linger in his mind, heavier with each day that passes. The weight of them a stone dragging him perpetually downward.
Haunting him like the master he couldn't save.
"Train him."
He can’t.
Obi-Wan wasn’t made for teaching. His words bite out sharp and rough, where he means them to reassure. His jagged lines catch on the fragile edges of Anakin's insecurities, baring them raw.
Anakin is beautiful and willful and stubborn. Obi-Wan would do anything for the boy who’s smile makes him light up like a star. For the new shadow that trails him through the temple's hallways.
But, Obi-Wan's not worthy.
"You don't belong here."
A young Anakin Skywalker contemplating his place in the Jedi Order.
