Hey it’s been a while since I updated
ohhh eeverybodys special boy
It had been dark and stormy the night before, but it was clearing up now, as the sun rose over the city skyline. Goldcliff was already busy; there are people with wagons traveling through the streets and vendors opening up for the morning rush. There's a particularly delicious-smelling stand selling kolaches that Angus makes a mental note to come back to later.
Right now, he has business to attend to.
Angus has been a detective for as long as he could remember and at ten years old, he's dealing with some more intense cases. Recently, he had been contacted by the Rockseeker family to investigate a case that had long gone dead. Ten years ago, their family member, Cyrus, had gone missing, leaving no clues behind.
It was a hard case the figure out, Angus had to admit. His first instinct was that Cyrus had been kidnapped, but that proved fruitless when all evidence pointed to Cyrus leaving home willingly. Maybe he had run off, then, or gotten murdered, or simply lost for a really, really long time.
Angus... didn't know. No, he couldn't know, because something was blocking the final pieces of this puzzle for him. It came up in other cases, too- all missing people, from over ten years ago. He knew, logically, that there was something wrong with the situation. That something was messing with his memory, leaving him with static-filled headaches and pain behind his eyes.
But what?
He weaved through the alleyways of Goldcliff until he was under near the outskirts of the city and approaching a medium-sized house. It was unsuspecting, with a tidy garden, and a large wheel barrel full of dirt near the front door.
See, Angus had found where Cyrus went. His search into Wave Echo Cave and the labyrinth of tunnels beneath it was fruitful. But he had no way to prove that Cyrus was there without a body, and he had no way to get into the sealed-away vault without some Rockseeker blood.
He didn't want to approach the family with the seemingly little evidence he had found. Instead, he gathered the clues that had been quite literally presented right in front of him and figured he'd turned the once dead Rockseeker case back alive.
Angus knocked on the door. He tried not to fidget as he waited but ended up adjusting his bag a few too many times. He knocked again, a bit louder, and heard someone groan from inside. A second later, a human man stood in front of him. Angus presumed he wasn't supposed to see, but there was an elven man behind him, barely in Angus's line of view, with his wand at the ready.
Neither looked very well-slept.
"Hello, sirs!" he said. He flipped open his bag and withdrew a large, red umbrella, with a detailed curved handle. "I believe you have some information I want to know, if you're willing to trade for it!"
chapter 10
Here you go! chapter 10!
Can't believe I forgot to post this! Sorry if it's kinda bad, my computer was dead so I did this on my phone.
I love the silver dragon angus theory/head canon for many reasons but mainly because we all draw him in his dragon form with glasses still.
Okay so Angus McDonald is like 9 or 10 right, and once they got to Neverwinter he pulled out some badge and talked to the cops and I can’t stop thinking about how this is how other people see Edward Elric. Like I was baffled that this precious little bean was actually the worlds greatest detective and not just playing pretend
Like this is Edward Elric. Your train gets held hostage and this 15 yo boy is like hey its gonna be fine I’m in the military I’ll handle this and then he DOES and then at the station he pulls out his STATE ALCHEMIST WATCH given to him by the actual military and starts talking to Colonel Mustang and the rest of the military personnel at the station like it’s nbd
aaaand it’s done!! thanks to none of my followers for giving me these suggestions lol
