Heart of a Unicorn

This story has an interesting premise in which in which Merlin is a unicorn transformed into human form, sent to the mortal world by Anhora to protect the Once and Future King. But things go wrong when Arthur mortally wounds Merlin in his unicorn form. Arthur must complete 3 tests to prove his worth, or face dire consequences... Written in the first person, starting with Merlin's POV in the prologue and then switching to Arthur.

Merlin and Arthur track a beast which has been causing trouble, which turns out to be a black unicorn. The mischievous unicorn takes aim at Arthur with its magic, with hilarious consequences! Merlin and Arthur must find the unicorn to undo the effects on Arthur, and also decide what to do with the creature, for it is still a creature of magic in a land where magic is banned... Lots of humour and fluff :)

Reincarnated AU Part 6: Anhora

Anhora was feeding the pigeons in the park like he did every Thursday when he arrived.

“What are you doing here Anhora? I thought unicorns died out centuries ago?”

Anhora smiled, Emrys was still as blunt as ever. He was also so very wrong about the unicorns but that was not important right now. “Is that really what you have come to ask me after all this time Emrys?”

Emrys unsurprisingly scowled at him but asked his true questions: Why have people from Camelot suddenly started to appear? Where had they come from? Some of them mention dreams? What did all this mean?

He chuckled amusingly and decided to indulge the old sorcerer. 

It was not a sudden appearance. They have been here for quite some time, destiny had merely kept them out of his view until the right moment. Emrys, after all, was magic itself and once they saw him again their memories would slowly come back to them, thus the dreams. Each person he had meant would he necessity in some way in Albion’s greatest time of need.

Emrys’ body went still and for a second the man stopped breathing altogether. His voice shook as he asked, “Does this mean what I need it means?”

Anhora smiled kindly and nodded. “Much like the others, he will appear before you when it is time. Not yet, but soon Emrys. Soon.”
