ok you know how a wizard's patronus changes shape if they're in love with someone... well surely there is something similar going on with one's animagus form? i mean come on sirius literally became a dog to keep remus company when he turned into a werewolf if that's not true love right there i don't even know
Regulus’ Animagus Form: Cat-Sìth/Kellas Cat
The Cat-sìth is from Scottish Folklore and is a big black cat with a white patch on its front. It’s said to have the power to steal the souls of the recently departed, hence necessitating the wake. It is believed that melanistic or hybrid Scottish Wild Cats (bigger than domestic cats) which are known as Kellas Cat.
With the whole stealing Voldemort’s horcrux, the Cat-sìth is my choice for the form Regulus would have taken if he had learnt to take an animagus form. Its just such a fun connection and could have some lovely dramatic irony if he had learnt the form before going off to steal the locket. The black nature of the Cat-sìth/Kellas Cat also ties in nicely with both his family and Sirius’ form being a large black dog. As animagi forms are/tend to be normal creatures (i.e. Sirius is a large black dog, not a Grim), his form could be seen as the Kellas Cat with the suitable imagery of the Cat-sìth. This form, being larger than the domestic cat, would also leave Sirius and Regulus with big forms, suiting their dramatic natures.
The Scottish Wild Cat is the last of Britain’s native felines and are incredibly elusive. They are known to be ferocious, even taking on dogs when pushed, which suits Regulus’ eventual decision to turn on Voldemort. We do not get to see much of him, but there is a strong association with him and more feline energy, which the Cat-sìth would tie into.
Both are Bad Endings where their curse possessed them. In one their brother and their lover died and they were alone and abandoned. In the other, the siblings just cared about each other and became criminals.
what's ur animagus form :0
My animagus form is actually a black wolf. Meaning Sirius and I don’t get strange looks too often when someone sees our animagus forms getting along.
I also get to be scary to people I don’t like, while being able to comfort first years. That happens more often than you’d think.
Draco, knowing what my form is and recognizing me, will give me head scratches. Ron, Harry, and Hermione will give me treats sometimes. No one questions the wolf in the Gryffindor Common Room anymore.
I actually sort of joined a pack by accident. There is a wolf pack around Hogwarts and I accidentally became a part of it. Meaning I get to spend time with wolf cubs.
I actually brought them back to Hogwarts at one point because their mother hadn’t returned yet and shit was going on in the Forbidden Forest. They were adorable and would curl up on me.
Even in human form, I am naturally good with and to a certain extent can understand wolves. In wolf form, I understand every howl, bark, or whine. But in human form I still know, or at least have an idea, of what they mean.
This did cause an awkward situation with one of my professors. And if the Ministry finds out about me being unregistered I’d go to Azkaban or be forced to register, which I will not do. So it isn’t all fun and games. And I had to keep that stupid leaf in my mouth for a month.
It took me a bit to transform easily, but now I can do it without effort. It takes lots of concentration and energy at first. Then it almost becomes second nature to transform.
Im writing a Percy Weasley fanfiction. If he had a animagus form what would it be?
At least once a year during the summer, Animagus!Snape turns into his raven form and flies to the Tower of London, which is well known for its ravens. There, he mingles with the flock and lives with them at the tower for a few weeks, being fed bits of raw dead stuff, harassing tourists and mimicking various insults to anyone he can. And also generally being as loud and as obnoxious as a raven can be, so he can have the satisfaction of being petty and get away with it.
