I saw a video om my dash of a fox inside on a bed leaping around bc it didn't know that the bed sheets were snow. Everyone was like omg so cute, and yeah it's cute but I thought you couldn't have foxes for pets. Or at least not have them inside?
Hey anon,
I can’t stand seeing videos like that. Animals like owls, skunks, foxes, and lions are an example of “videos of animals in peoples homes on the internet that makes everyone go ‘omg I want oneeeeeeeeeeeeee’” So already I have a problem. No, that fox shouldn’t have been inside and I have no idea what the situation was on the video or anything but 9 times out of 10 it’s some asshole person keeping an animal like that as a “pet.” Unless it is some conservation or rehab situation, ‘exotic’ animals like this shouldn’t be in peoples homes. What the issue is, is people don’t realize this and then share the video and love the video and all they scream is “I WANT ONEEEEEEEEEE” instead of realizing the “thing” that they want is a sentient being that isn’t in their natural habitat. People are ignorant and self centered and I am sorry you saw that video. Just don’t share it and possibly educate the person who did and that’s all you can do at that point.
