The twenty-fifth card of the Tarot is associated with the season of Spring.
Fire + air. This card brings up a fast, sweeping energy. It’s movement, action and dynamic change. It’s focused, but can spread rapidly to many places. Wild fire. With this symbolism, it’s important to remain sensitive to our needs and those of others, not be so carried away with an endeavor that patience and kindness are compromised. Ideally, it’s anchored in a deeper sense of purpose. We must maintain the ability to see from the perspectives of others, and to keep a larger vantage point. A physical outlet for excess energy is very helpful, as well as calming practices like meditation, and herbs like lavender and chamomile.
Dragonflies symbolize free spirit, swiftness, change, adaptability, strength, courage and intuition. Lavender can represent tranquility, peace, healing, purification and wisdom. It’s linked to Mercury (dualistic + dry/hands, arms, shoulders, lungs, nervous system, brain). It can be used to treat anxiety/depression, restlessness and insomnia. Topically, it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It can help to heal skin irritations, bites, rashes or cuts, and acne.
