There was a small sense of dread, every time they went to speak to each other, but this time, Hikari was looking forward to it. Popping the question of possibly learning some healing, as her Stand could only do so much. Holistic medicine was far from better than a hospital or Hamon, even if Mother Nature's Son made it work a bit faster.

Regardless, Hikari's arms remained crossed not out of annoyance, but of confidence. Putting on this mask to hide the subtle fear she had of this woman was hard enough. Hikari had really, really hoped she wasn't told about her and Joseph's little fight recently. Last she needed was to get chewed out for a second time.

  The downtown market was quite busy at this time of night — it had been almost ten minutes, and Kortopi was starting to wonder if Shizuku had truly wandered off on her own, or if she had actually gotten lost in the sea of people, having forgotten him altogether. It wasn’t out of the question, considering her poor short-term memory, but his worries were cast aside as soon as he spotted her pushing through, the glint of her large lenses hitting the light from the streetlamp as she approached. Kortopi had noticed she was carrying some street food, but he let out a tiny noise of surprise when he was offered the stick in her right hand, the skewer holding a stack of takoyaki balls topped with an appealing brown glaze.

  “Thank you, Shizu.” His hair was already up in an intricate bun, only the remaining fringe around his face remaining down — it was easy enough to tuck the locks of silver behind his ear so he could take a bite, appreciating its deep savory taste.
