how i imagine bakugo would study:
this loser kept very good grades in middle school, the process of making sure he kept top of the class probably made him egotistical as heck.
he likely used middle school as his time to figure out good study techniques, experimented with how to structure his notes and just memorise them.
obviously i imagine he's quick to pick things up in class in general but it ticks at his insecurity when he can't do something so he 100% privately works on it. break it down. piece it back together. write it differently.
doesn't have the patience to watch videos, and if he does, he mutters to himself complaining about it. he definitely has too much of an ego and a knack for efficiency to do 'useless' stuff other people are up to, like making his notes pretty, or making too many flashcards, or passive studying. he KNUCKLES DOWN in limited time, to keep on top of stuff preemptively.
so, by UA, I imagine he had a pretty solid system.
sure, everyone only sees him for his generally pissed-off attitude at first, but when he starts scoring high, people notice. they missed all the times he's been ACTUALLY writing notes down, underlining things to look at later, circling things that just clicked, crossing off active to-do lists in margins. he does this weirdy casually, bakugo just knows how to make it work, even if he is also (as assumed!) often.... angrily doodling in class. but he's nothing if not competent first and foremost.
he explains it to himself, he tests himself, he tries everything to internalize it.
he sometimes learns ahead and he often complains when someone else is being dumb. he acts like it's a drag, but explaining things to others is 100% a great way of making the info stick to him, and getting to berate someone for being stupid so he definitely enjoys it.
plus, some part of him thinks that most people could study so much better if they stopped being stupid and just THOUGHT about it.
his notes have absolutely minimal colour. marking red pen, one highlighter at best. they are plain, but they're laid out VERY well, very structured and very consisely.
naturally takes breaks every hour, and avoids being in the position to need full study days like the plague. he'd rather start early, be well-prepared by making extra space in his normal routine, mixing in his usual exercise, cooking, sleep, whatever.
