Sensing vs Intuitive - Which Typings Get More Notes?

So, I went through and checked the notes on my MBTI blog, and I found some interesting points. I know it's not a big blog, and this is in no way scientific or anything, just my own curiosity, but I thought it would be fun to share.

I only counted complete, non-ask, and singular (aka post with only one character) posts in this. It is also based on my tiny blog, which is focused on anime and manga characters, and notes may change in the future.

I have about 14 sensor typings and 5 intuitive typings

The most popular sensor typing so far has 28 notes

The most popular intuitive typing has 44.

Total amount of notes for the 14 sensor typings: 86

Total amount of notes for the 5 intuitive typings: 115

The lowest amount of notes a sensor typing has is 0. Only two typings has notes with reach two digits.

The lowest amount of notes on any intuitive post is 5, and it's the only one digit number for the intuitives.

Take what you want from this, but personally I think it has a lot to do with people re-blogging characters they indentify with, or is the same type as themselves, and a lot of people here on tumblr are intuitives. It also has a lot to do with which characters and series are popular and which are not (my Akatsuki no Yona typings, and now Mahoutsukai no Yome, are doing the best for example).

Soo-Won (Akatsuki no Yona) - INFJ

Introverted Intuition (Ni): Soo-Won has had one single, clear vision of what he wants since he was little, a vision strong enough that he is ready to kill and manipulate in order to reach it. He is good at really looking ahead and predicting a situation’s outcome, and knowing what strings to pull in order to have things go his way. He can easily put aside details, and his own beliefs, not only for his goal, but also for what he belives to be the greater good (Ni-Fe).

Extraverted Feeling (Fe): Soo-Won is naturally very carefree and pleasant in nature, often smiling and appearing to many to be an airhead. He is through this also very good at winning over other people's trust, and is good at the leading role he has to have as a king. Despite his ways conflicting with Yona's, he cares for his country, and strives to help it.

Introverted Thinking (Ti): He is quite good at coming up with strategies, and often goes to personally investigate happenings and suspected larger crimes in his country to find out what is really happening, and find ways to help if it is needed.

Extraverted Sensing (Se): Going a bit hand-in-hand with his airhead demeanor, Soo-Won can also be quite clumsy and out of touch with the sensory reality from time to time. He often knows how and when to grab opportunities as they arise, he probably hadn't counted on becoming Lili's “bodyguard” for example, but saw the opportunity to make ties with the Water Tribe, and took it.

Note: Unlike the re-typings of Yona and Hak, this is not a revised typing, just more extensive break down of his functions.

Sharon Rainsworth [ESFJ]

Extroverted Feeling (Fe):

Sharon is primarily concerned with taking care of others and making them happy, especially Xerxes. She is willing to sacrifice her life for the memory from 100 years ago and defends Xerxes against the Baskervilles. She was taken hostage by Oz/Alice in the first volume and tells Xerxes not to worry about her. She is always really worried when he leaves her behind and sets out on an adventure without her. She is sensitive to the feelings of others and is so able to understand easily what they feel and why (why Oz and Gil are depressed after meeting Eliot and Vincent). Sharon is open with her feelings too and you can see her throughout the whole manga bursting out of anger (because of Xerxes for example), crying or happily laughing whenever she feels like it. But because she is concerned with taking care of others she often hides her feelings behind a friendly and gentle smile too. A good example for that is her first conversation with Oz before his coming-of-age ceremony. She keeps a gentle smile no matter what strange things Oz says, stays polite and always know what to say to stay polite and for the social norms acceptable. Furthermore she really likes parties where she can meet people and dance. She likes to give her friends help about how to get along with each other (talking with Gil about Oz’s behaviour).

Introverted Sensing (Si):

Sharon is just like Raim more serious thans Xerxes and often a bit annoyed by Xerxes behaviour. Then she tells him right away what she thinks (Si+Ti). That’s the case when he is having tea in a cemetery in the third chapter and she tells him to stop it because it’s imprudent. Or when she tells Raim to consider Xerxes as nothing more than air as he interupts their conversation. There aren’t anymore scenes where she shows that through what she says, but you can see it often in little panels in the manga through her facial expression. Her best and only friends are Xerxes and Raim (and future husband) who she knows already since a very young age (however she gains some friends later through Oz, Alice and Gil). She also likes to read and to compare things to what she read (Si+Ne).

Extroverted Intuition (Ne):

She uses her Ne every time she gets into her girl-mode and starts to bubbly talks about the books she read (+Si) and her opinions of love. She likes to connect read information with different informations. Sharon likes to use metaphors in the third chapter where she names Oz ‘Pandora’s key’ and ‘a fallen angel’.

Introverted Thinking (Ti):

Her Ti shows the most time when she directly critisis other people (Xerxes) about their behaviour. There she often shouts really honest and offending things, informations she often gained through her analytical skills (+Ti), people reading skills(+Ne). All of them are informations she collected about the people in the past (+Si) and now gives them all away.

Youichi Arikawa (Hana no Mizo Shiru) - ESTP

Extraverted Sensing (Se): Arikawa is spontaneous and rather impulsive. He drags Misaki outside, to the riverside, to look at and explore, instead of just being cooped up in the lab. He often acts before he thinks, whether it be saying how he feels, or sometimes failing to consider the other person's feelings (Se-Ti).

Introverted Thinking (Ti): Arikawa is a genius in the lab, despite him majoring in law. He likes calculating and counting stuff, and going into detail and figuring things out, even using maths as a means to relax and clear his head. He tries to look at his feelings in a logical way, wondering what is “wrong” with him (Ti-Fe).

Extraverted Feeling (Fe): Arikawa can be very on and off when it comes to considering others. He is very friendly and open, but can also be quite selfish. He's not uncomfortable expressing his feelings, but it happens that they come out in an explosive way at times.

Introverted Intuition (Ni): It takes some time before he can see through Kawabata, and realise the uncomfortable mood between Misaki and Kawabata. He is much more comfortable taking things as he sees them (Se), rather than reading into them and seeing what lies behind.

Shouta Misaki (Hana no Mizo Shiru) - ISTJ

Introverted Sensing (Si): Misaki is someone who doesn't trust people easily, and generally keeps his distance from them. This is a direct result of his own past experiences; Kawabata hurt Misaki severely because of Misaki's feelings for him, and there have been rumours circulating around Misaki on campus. Despite this, it takes him to actually lose the necklace Kawabata gave him, even if he had wanted to throw it away.

Extraverted Thinking (Te): The Misaki most people see is cold, and takes distance from others. He is straightforward, and blunt, and he does his research in the lab methodically, shown in how he states that “Anyone can do it if they follow the instructions” to Arikawa (Si-Te).

Introverted Feeling (Fi): Misaki has a tendency to flee a situation before he can show or express any sort of emotion. Professor Tsujimura talks about how he is sort of like a ghost, and Arikawa, the day after kissing him the first time, denotes how it would have been better if Misaki had gotten angry at him (instead of running away).

Extraverted Intuition (Ne): He is very prone to catastrophic thinking, and has a hard time seeing the good possible outcomes of a situation. He plays with “what if's”, but in the end, he is really scared that everything between him and Arikawa will be broken if he falls for him.

Elliot Nightray [ISFP]

Introverted Feeling (Fi):

Elliot is completely driven by his emotions and feelings, has clear opinions about everything and a strong sense of right and wrong. As an unhealthy use of his Fi he thinks his opinion are actual facts and he openly tells his opinions (telling Oz that he is far too weak or that Oz is annoying just like Edgard). When someone has a different opinion he tries to convince the person and doesn’t care wether he hurts the other persons feelings and thinks about the person as stupid for having that opinion. That’s the case when he asks Oz about the character of the book ‘Holy Knight’. When he hears that Oz opinion is different he tries to convince Oz of his own opinion and is really rude. But often he just doesn’t realise that he hurts others with his words or doesn’t realise the feelings of others in general. For example when he tells Oz he acts like a suicidal person and that Oz only tries to protect himself. Another example is his argument with his sister where he realises how lonely and worried she is. She has to punch him and tell him what she feels so that even he realises it. Elliot has high set principles too. He gets angry when Leo didn’t tell him that Oz is a intruder, because he thinks that he has to take steps against those who broke the rules and introdude (Or getting angry when the Baskervilles renege their promise towards Oz and telling that taking the lives of the Baskervilles is the duty and honor for nobles). He doesn’t see him as a possibly murderer of Vanessa, because she is his sister. He also doesn’t like it when people are phony and not honest (doesn’t want a noble as a servant who talks behind his back), and furthermore, isn’t able to express his feelings through words to others. He isn’t able to admit that he likes Oz and looks for another reason why he came to Oz’s coming of age ceremony. Additionally he blushes when Oz tells him that he want to become Elliot’s friend and starts to insult Oz to hide his embarassment or  how much he likes cats. He cares a lot about Oz, Leo and his family and would do anything for them. But he shows his feeling through his actions like the pieces of music he composes for Leo and his mother. And despite acting cold towards Ada as a Vessalius he is worried when he finds her laying on the ground unconciously.

Extroverted Sensing (Se):

Elliot lives in the moment and enjoys sensory activities like playing the piano and sword fighting. And he is good at it too. He is able to assess a situation through Se. An example is when he sees Xerxes Break in the inner part in Sablier. In the split of a second he is able to judge that he and Leo just would be a disability for Xerxes Break and as a solution he runs away. He also doesn’t want to make plans and tells Oz when Oz asks what he would do when Oz hase to get caught by the Baskervilles in order to let Elliot and Leo escape that he think about it when the things reach the point of no return. Furthermore Elliot uses his Se to express his feelings. He shows them through outburst of emotions when he roar at people and attack them by an act of emotions with his sword (attacking Gil the first time he sees him again).

Introverted Intuition (Ni):

As his tertiary he isn’t always able to see the feelings and motives of the people around him, but sometimes he has intuitive insights or analyses the informations he gained through his observation (+Se). Although he doesn’t really is informed about flower symbolism he uses the idea of his sister to name the song for his mother after a flower. Furthermore he uses other symbolism when he describes Isla Yura He also has certain goals he wants to achieve like getting the headhunter.

Extroverted Thinking (Te):

The most time Elliot takes action without planning and thinking so much, but he uses Te function when he works for getting the headhunter. There he works methodically through first gaining as much informations as possible before acting (+Ni). The same goes for the time where he tries to convince his family about his new servant Leo. He also often doesn’t stick to the rules to enforce his own individual ideas. He doesn’t budge the order of his family to take a noble as his servant or doesn’t listen to him when they tell him not to talk to Gilbert after they adopted Gil.

Pandora Hearts: Isla Yura [ENTP]

Unhealthy ENTP

Extroverted Intuition (Ne):

Isla Yura is able to read people through his Ne and uses the informations he gets to use them against the people and to manipulate them (+Fe). Furthermore he chooses really pictorial comparisons to describe his feelings (+Fe: like walking on air). He has a different and subjective point of view of the tradegy of Sablier. There he also uses pictorial language to desribe his perceptions. He sees all the possiblities and through procedure of exclusion he gets a final result. That happens when he observes murder of the members of Pandora: he thinks about all the possible people who could have commit the murder (another member of Pandora, illegal contractor, the Baskervilles) and exclude the illegal contractor and another member of Pandora to get to the conclusion that the Baskervilles are involved. He plans for many possibilities. That shows in his plans for the tradegy of Sablier. He plans for different possible outcomes. For example he ensures that if his plan fails, Duke Barma will get all his possesions. Even with his appearance he wants to show many possibilities and does that through that changing his outfit many times. He needs to see the real Jack so he can compare him with Oz’s deception and realize that Jack is the real one and Oz faked it.

Introverted Thinking (Ti):

Isla Yura has a big thirst for knowledge and wants to get as many truths as possible. He thinks really critical and questions anything as long as there are no clear evidences. A good example is how he questions Oz. He doesn’t truly believe that Jack’s soul is inside Oz and think about the possibility that Oz makes it just up. He finds another also logical explanation (Ti+Ne). He thinks that in reality Oz makes it up to gain attention, because he isn’t loved by his father. And even as Oz fakes being Jack, Isla questions it and wants him to name the pledge that has been passed down by guardians of the seal. And if Oz fakes it, he will not want to gain anything from it. He want to know it for pure knowledge. That is the difference between him and Barma who is a high Te user. As a high Te user knowledge is for Barma for use and a weapon needed for life (although Te-users are academical too, they aren’t so obsessed with it like a Ti-user), for Isla Yura it is the goal. His curiosity is shown when he buys the old house too. The stories about deamons makes him curious and he wants to buy it even more.

Extroverted Feeling (Fe):

As an unhealthy ENTP he uses his Fe mainly in an unhealthy way. He tries to manipulate people to gain what he wants. In so doing he manipulates Elliot’s mother to come closer to Elliot’s father so he was allowed to participate in the experiments of the Nightrays. He also manipulated the other persons of his cult to gain money. He does this through charming the people and put them at ease. For the people of the cult he gives them hopes for their lifes and dreams. Another good example his how he tries it while his first meeting with Duke Barma. There he tells how great he felt when he were allowed to walk into Pandora headquarters (like walking an air). After Duke Barma’s cold reaction he shows that his act was just a facade (+Ti) and that he likes to get straight to the point too (although this is also to put Duke Barma on ease through agreeing with him). He tries to avoid confrontations. That can be seen while his first appearance in the manga where he tries to conciliate between Elliot and his sister and when he wants someone to stop Oz telling Phillip that his father died. Apart from gaining knowledge and money he did all that for the reaction of the people too. He enjoys the stupidity of the persons of the cult and loves how he is able to fool them all.

Introverted Sensing (Si):

Isla Yura has a subejective perception of the tradegy of sablier based on what he read about and wants to let it happen again through ensuring the same conditions. He is really detailed in his approach. He ensures for living victims (murdering the people), committing arson, the Baskervilles, jacks body and soul, the moon and the blood of a friend.
