Making progress. Muscles are still tight and tendons still too weak to be able to do this on just the right foot, but it's getting there. Swelling is almost gone, bruising is minimal. I can walk up stairs normal, but not if I'm carrying my sleeping six year old like I did last night (extra 45 pounds hurts), had to do that carefully, almost left her on the couch downstairs, but didn't. Going down the stairs normal is still too much strain as well. Running or jumping, wearing any kind of heels, still out of the question. But flexing, pointing, walking...definitely better. Getting stronger every day. When the ability to do things you've been able to do your whole life goes away, even temporarily, you appreciate the little victories a bit more. And even just this last week without the ability to run or jump or dance like I could before just amplifies my desire to get it back, and when I do to not take it for granted. My injury could have been worse. My recovery will take time, but I will recover. For now, the little victories are awesome. oh, and aren't my starry sweatpants cute? #calfstrain #anklestrain #recovery #rehab #rehabexercises #motivation #nevergiveup #noquitting #keepmoving #listentoyourbody #stretch #igotthis #cutepants
