It's actually been about four and a half years since I started writing.
First story released October 2021.
Damn. I feel obligated to do something for my 5th anniversery come October.
Also... wow I feel old. My oldest inspirations for what I write today would be PWC Sponson and Modeseven, who I first discovered in 2010, like nearly sixteen years ago.
I wonder if that'll be me for someone else. Some writer or artist ten years from now citing me as their inspiration for what they're doing.
I wonder if, like Sponson and Modeseven, I'll change my online handle, like they changed theirs.
Will I even still be writing ten years from now? Will I be drawing instead? Will I have walked away from the internet entirely?
Yesterday was me and Eduardo's 5th year wedding anniversary. We had an amazing meal in Mani In Pasta in Athy, Kildare. Great place for vegans and a great place for couples

“Today, is a good day” Mo Xuanyu murmured to himself, as he walks along the streets of the large city, his arms wrapped around Xue Yang’s left arm so that they don’t get separated. Just in front of them, racing from stall to stall with eyes wide with wonderment, is little Jin Ling; a 6-year-old whirlwind of energy.
Today was the one-year anniversary of his and Xue Yang’s relationship, Xue Yang had managed to convince Jin Guangyao to let them go out for the day and skip any classes; under the guise that they are doing errands for him.
That morning, on their way out through the gates, Jin Ling had caught up with them and demanded to go with; wanting to spend time with his Yu-ge. Jin Guangyao had nodded his approval after making sure it was ok with Mo Xuanyu and Xue Yang.
Xue Yang had wanted to spend the day alone with Mo Xuanyu, but one look at Mo Xuanyu’s eyes- the pure excitement and delight, and Xue Yang couldn’t find it in himself to refuse the little brat to tag along. Xue Yang knew just how much Mo Xuanyu loved spending time with his adorable (or in Xue Yang’s opinion, snot nosed brat) nephew, the opportunity to spend time together without judging eyes was rare after all.
If Xue Yang was truthful, he would admit that A-Ling wasn’t really that bad, just a little bit demanding was all and perhaps a tad spoilt, but with such doting uncles it wasn’t much of a surprise really.
Glancing at his slightly shorter companion, Xue Yang found himself admiring the beauty on his arm. It was quite a surprise when Mo Xuanyu had first spoken to him, quietly asking Xue Yang if they could share a table in the sect library, the usual fear that Xue Yang is used to seeing was absent. Curious, Xue Yang had allowed Mo Xuanyu to share the table, and it didn’t take long for him to steal his heart.
Today, Mo Xuanyu was dressed in peach coloured robes with a very light pink inner robe, gifts from A-Ling for Mo Xuanyu’s last birthday that just past. Mo Xuanyu had loved the robes (and made sure to thank Yao-Ge who must have helped A-Ling pick them out), as most of his old clothes from his time at Mo Village were tattered and old and ugly. In Mo Xuanyu’s hair was a hair pin that had a few black feather ornaments hanging from it, which Xue Yang had gifted him that morning as a present.
Xue Yang had a similar head piece on that Mo Xuanyu had gotten him, it was delicate and intricate looking of fine feathers that curled around his ponytail.
“Ah, ah! Yu-Ge! Can we get some candies?” A-Ling bounces in-front of a stall that sold the sweet candy on the sticks in the shape of animals, eyes alight with eagerness that only a child could seem to manage. Xue Yang was sure that if A-Ling bounced any faster he would be practically vibrating.
Grinning at the youth, Mo Xuanyu nods and asks him which one A-Ling wanted. Humming in thought, A-Ling soon settles on a dog shaped one.
“YangYang, do you want one?” Mo Xuanyu shyly looks back at him, a soft smile on his lips as he looks up at Xue Yang through his lashes.
“Sure, I’ll have a Dragon” Smirking slightly, Xue Yang keeps one hand on A-Ling’s collar to keep him from running off while Mo Xuanyu get’s Xue Yang’s and a rabbit one for himself. Once paid, the trio continue on, Mo Xuanyu’s head resting slightly on Xue Yang’s shoulder while A-Ling walks just in-front of them. calmed for now with the treat.
As they wander about the streets, a commotion to one side catches their attention, prompting them to go closer. Mo Xuanyu pulls his nephew closer and keeps a hold of one of his hands, just in-case someone should accidently get in-between them. Xue Yang snorts in disinterest once he realises what is going on, crossing his arms across his chest.
“Just a traveller who tells stories for kids,”
Looking up curiously, A-Ling pulls his treat from his mouth enough to speak without being muffled, “A story-teller? Can we listen?”
Ignoring the disgruntled look on Xue Yang’s face, Mo Xuanyu nods at A-Ling smiling encouragingly, “Sure, just stay in our line of sight ok? We will wait at the edge”
Nodding to that he understands, A-Ling hurries to join the small crowd of kids that has formed around this storyteller who’s telling some story about this woman and her garden of ever blooming flowers. Amused parents stand nearby to listen with half an ear, Mo Xuanyu takes this time to actually talk to Xue Yang finally.
“Thankyou for letting A-Ling come along with, I know you wanted for us to be alone…” Mo Xuanyu looks up at Xue Yang again through his eye lashes, a habit of his that makes him look ridiculously cute, not that Mo Xuanyu would believe Xue Yang if he said as much though.
Glancing out of the corner of his eye, a sly smirk that seems to be nearly permanently on his face, Xue Yang can’t help teasing Mo Xuanyu just a little bit.
“Just be glad that I happen to be very attached to you and your pretty face,”
A deep blush quickly spreads across Mo Xuanyu’s face when he hears that, even the back of his neck and ears are tainted pink as he quickly diverts his face to the floor, trying in vain to hide it from Xue Yang. His smirk shifting into a full-blown teasing grin, Xue Yang leans in closer to Mo Xuanyu’s ear, his breath ghosting over the shell of Xuanyu’s ear.
“Mmmm, such a pretty face indeed, specially with such a cute blush as well- perhaps I can wait until later for you to make this up to me hmm?”
Mo Xuanyu squeaks when he feels Xue Yang’s canine tooth nip his ear slightly, weakly he swats at the taller boy, cheeks puffing up petulantly at being teased so much. Though the twitching of his lips belays his amusement at Xue Yang's antics. Mo Xuanyu's voice is soft and sweet as he leans more heavily on Xue Yang's chest, a hand resting over where Xue Yang's heart is, which had started to beat faster.
“I can make up dinner?”
Snorting in amusement, Xue Yang pulls Mo Xuanyu subtly closer, glad for a banner that’s hiding them away from most eyes right then.
Anniversery Animosity (side quest idea) [1 Year Anniversery ]
Here’s one for you DM’s who want to have a side quest, based around a collectathon.
One year ago, a group of adventures had finished their life of adventuring, having become legends & ideals. Sadly though their popularity soon went down to near zero after about three months of retirement. In a quest to bring back this popularity, the group's leader has decided to do a yearly anniversary celebrating their many triumphs.
The leader decides to task an up & coming adventuring group, (the players) with bringing together the old gang before the anniversary of their retirement comes up in a month. The leader gives the party a name of people & cities they can be found in & tells them to “just go over to [insert leader name] place on the [insert date]”.
Of Course nothing can be simple & if the players actually go to any of these people, they will hold animosity over some thing that happened over the adventure. The party will have to convince them to come, which itself may lead into its own sidequest.
If the players are able to get a good amount of the gang their, & can make it back on the date of the event, they will be thanked with a rowdy party & stories of tales & adventures that aren’t too old. Of Course if they come back after the date, the leader will just give them some gold for their trouble.
I’m running out of excuses other than that I just suck. Here’s a snippet for And I Play It On Repeat, though. (In my defense, the next chunk of this story is looong. So long. I didn’t sign up for this.)
Rowan sighed, long and loud, before starting violently at a knock at the door over his head. “Jesus, what?” he called, with more bite than necessary.
There was a pause. “Are you gonna get in the shower, or can I take a piss?” Erik demanded.
Rowan chewed on his lower lip, turning his phone over between his hands before standing back up and yanking the door open. Erik, rumple-haired, half-naked, and agitated did nothing to ease Rowan’s discomfited state. “Go on, then,” Rowan shuffled his way past Erik in the doorway, taking great pains to keep their bodies from touching. He was confident that would only exacerbate his problem.
Erik shut the door behind him and Rowan leaned against the wall. After a moment, he heard, “Did you forget how the shower works or something? Need my help?”
There was something just a little off about his tone. God, was he flirting? Rowan closed his eyes and let out a breath. “Don’t talk to me while you pee.”
He heard Erik laugh. About fifty hours until they flew back home, give or take. Fifty-ish hours until they went back to normal. He could handle that.
