HBO MAX! Back at it!

After it’s lengthy purge of animated series over the summer, HBO Max has decided to part ways with half a dozen animated features meant to come to the platform in the future. 

Though Warner Bros has confirmed the titles are still continuing their production they will not be coming to HBO Max. Titles include -

Batman: Caped Crusade - the buzzy reboot series from Batman: The Animated Series creator Bruce Timm, blockbuster maker J.J. Abrams and The Batman director Matt Reeves

Merry Little Batman – Family action-comedy special executive produced and directed by Mike Roth (Regular Show) from a screenplay by Morgan Evans (Earth to Ned).

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie – Porky and Daffy’s sci-fi buddy comedy, executive produced by Pete Browngardt (Looney Tunes Cartoons) with Alex Kirwan (Looney Tunes Cartoons) as supervising producer and Kevin Costello as writer.

Did I Do That to the Holidays? A Steve Urkel Story – An animated movie musical return for the iconic sitcom character, written and exec produced by Wyatt Cenac with Bryan Newton (Rick and Morty) as supervising director.

The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie! – A feature-length adventure from Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, in which a superfan opens a portal to Gumball’s cartoon world. Directed by series creator Ben Bocquelet from a script written with Shane Mack (Coffee & Kareem), exec produced by Sam Register, Vanessa Brookman and Sarah Fell.

Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical – Meant to be the first-ever LT musical, announced in June. Screenplay and lyrics by Ariel Dumas (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), music and orchestration by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), with Brandon Jeffords (Vivo, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) as director and supervising producer and Sam Register serves as EP.

Dear Y&Y fans 📷

There’s been some changes that we want to fill you in on. This upcoming new album has been an Olly endeavour and we’ve decided that Years & Years will continue as an Olly solo project. The three of us are still good friends. Mikey will be part of the Y&Y family and play with us live and Emre will focus on being a writer/producer.

These past twelve months have been crazy for us all and we want to thank you for the love and support you’ve given us over the years (& years). 📷

Hey y’all! You probably have picked up on the fact I have a Fanventure that I’ve been working on. Good news! The Prologue is now available, and more is soon to come! It is still a WIP, and unfortunately it will probably go on some breaks here and there as I am but a little Highschool creecher writing all this, but trust me when I say I already have 30 pages written and am currently working on adding more!
