oh yes, DO NOT WORRY MY FRIEND, Melville has not been slow to explain at great and indeed excruciatingly slimy length   about the nature of spermaceti. so he definitely has some plausible deniability here, inasmuch as he’s not actually talking about... sperm sperm? but he also spends QUITE A LOT OF TIME, ACTUALLY discussing the fact that spermaceti is definitely named for the sperm kind of sperm because of how it looks and feels, soooooooooo a chapter where he gleefully repeats the word over and over while having a bunch of gay little sailors rub their hands together all up in it idk dear tumblr reader i don’t even go here, where by “here” i mean “gay whaler school” i guess

If you like stuff like Toy Soldiers, Good Omens, Back to the Future, and a bunch of others, irisbleufic is one of my top fave writers and I think shes on Tumblr & previously LJ as well.

I’m gonna be super honest and say I deeply, intensely dislike Finn (from The 100) and I always have and then I liked him even less when The Big Thing Happened. HOWEVER. In S1, I think he was a valuable source of inspiration for everyone around him. He was determined to live whatever life he had and to make it real rather than waiting for a real life to start. That’s interesting, and that’s rare. 

R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships

I mean, I know people who ship ALL KINDS OF THINGS so I doubt I have a ship that NO one else ships... but the rarest pair I can think of (in my sleep-deprived state) that I ship the heck out of is probably Bess and George, from the Nancy Drew mysteries. HER NAME IS GEORGE AND SHE DRESSES LIKE A DUDE AND NEITHER OF THEIR BOYFRIENDS ARE EVER AROUND AND THEY SPEND ALL THEIR TIME TOGETHER. THEY ARE BONING OK.
