Last song: My Love is Like a Red Red Rose by Voces8 (arr. Ešenvalds). Was singing this with my daughter yesterday and she kept telling me I had the lyrics wrong so I went looking for a good arrangement. Fell head over heels for this performance. May be shoehorning it into TaF. (also kid was right and I did have the lyrics mixed up, score one for her)

Last movie: Frozen 2. I have two kids aged under 10, what do you expect. Before that...do a whole lot of filmed stage adaptions count? Because I was rewatching Tennant’s Richard II, I think. That or the Henry V from the same set, with Alex Hassell as Hal. I have no idea what last real movie I fully watched. Might’ve been Birds of Prey back in February. (I don’t watch feature films at home much)

Currently Watching: The Good Place! I haven't seen it until now! We're near the end of season three! I love everything especially the phenomenal character development! I shrieked when Michael McKean AKA Shadwell (and my beloved Mr. Green) showed up. I adore it all. I want all the crossovers with Good Omens and will set out to find them once I finish the show. Please can I be Janet when I grow up.

Currently Reading: October means reading Sunshine by Robin McKinley, the best vampire book in existence. Also Persuasion by Jane Austen, which is my go-to comfort book and lives by my bed. Next up I think will be the Imogen Qui mysteries by Jill Paton Walsh because I was talking about them yesterday and now have an inkling. I reread things a lot, particularly during stressful times like, oh, pandemics. (including fanfic, as all of you know)

Currently Craving: A holiday. As long as I'm dreaming, one where I'm in a hotel on the beach, the sort I could never afford usually. With a continental breakfast that goes on forever. And I'm on my own and can just sit there and nosh on pastry and read or write for frikking *hours* while listening to the waves and sitting in a sunbream. Would also accept similar but in coffeeshop on an autumn afternoon less rainy than the current one. God I want a holiday.

Oh Look, Another Ask Game!

Oh Jurr, there could be so many things here but I think I have to go with her art. She does it for therapy, because it calms her nerves, helps focus her scattered mind, it even helps her solidify memories if she can draw them out. She loves her art but she doesn’t share it because to her it’s nothing worth sharing. It’s something she does for herself and doesn’t think it has much artistic value. 

In reality her art is very good, and not in a “good considering you don’t remember 90% of the art you have done” sort of way. A lot of it is muscle memory, she doesn’t remember learning how to do different techniques but her hands remember what to do. Kadu, the only one to ever get permission to see her art at any stage of the process, thinks her art is amazing and tells her, often taking the time to give thoughtful and honest critiques but to her they are just a therapy tool to hep deal with the insanity of her life.

aphrodite - who do you love most in this world? my mom and my ex

hebe - what’s you’re fondest memory from your childhood? playing in the woods by myself just exploring the woods around my house and finding half built toys and boxes and other collections of wood and nails from kids in the past. i’m sure i have lots of other but that’s the first thing that popped into my mind 

melpomane - what is your favourite song? honesty i listen to so many different genres all the time that you should ask “favorite song from x genre?” or  “favorite song from x band/artist” because i could answer those easier

nike - what are you most proud of? i’m really god at drawing from reference pictures, which is weird to be proud of, but to me it means i can draw, i just need to see examples before i do

 enyo - do you get angry easily? yes oh my god, it’s one of my worst qualities and i want to change but it’s such a hard one to change

hestia - would you rather live in the countryside or the city? why? i love both but i think i want to settle down in the country side bc i’m gonna live in the city for most of my college life (at least 5 years) so i’ll be ready for some quiet by then

hygenia - are you a tidy person? i really really wish i was, but i’m a clutterbug, hoarder, and materialistic, and those three do not go well together when it comes to being neat and tidy

3. rant. just do it Okay. I have this HUGE issue with people who aren’t from the US who RAIL on the US and our government.  Like your country isn’t perfect either but hey, it’s in fashion to bash my country so why not, right? UGH

39. describe your aestheticI really like sparkly things and all things glow in the dark.  yes, I sound like I’m a six year old but for some reason either/or/the combination of those two things just really make me happy. (just another reason I LOVE autumn- you can get glow in the dark nail polish in the drug stores all month and IT’S AWESOME!)
