‘Boy Meets World’ Watch when I was 16 (How the show is written): An 11 year ago old boy starts off in the pilot not knowing anything about love when faced with the play ‘Romeo and Juilet’ - but through extensive teaching and life lessons he finally understands it as he falls in love/eventually marries his childhood sweetheart Topanga Lawrence - whom is named after Frair Lawrence; making the story come full circle.
‘Boy Meets World’ Rewatch now I’m 23 (How the show comes off): An 11 year old boy is faced with a harsh world trying to force him into a box - with a lesson about ‘Romeo & Juilet’ possibly one of the most heteronormative plays about love. He claims he knows nothing about love or ‘girls’, but is already showing that kind of emotion with his best friend before the ‘cultural brainwashing’ comes in as he grows up. Topanga Lawrence wasn’t his childhood sweetheart in the first season - his family didn’t even know who she was. He was just ‘getting to know her’. It was in fact his best friend who lived on the same block he did and knew him since he was two - which the writers swapped with Topanga to fill the heteronormative void. Topanga Lawrence is actually named after ‘Frair Lawrence’ the priest who helps Romeo and Juliet get married. And Topanga Stop the War Lawrence isn’t even a real name to begin with.
I do agree with you on certain things Naruto isn't bad as your making him out to be. Honestly Kishimoto should have just made him less loyal to the village since other than Sasuke he has a great reason to hate Konoha.
Naruto as a manga? I’m not a Kishimoto hater. You’ve confused me with some body else. Sure, Naruto’s got problems, but I don’t hate Kishimoto.
If you’re talking about Naruto as a character, then I think he’s a detestable child. No if’s and but’s in my book. He wanted Sasuke to drop his own goals to become his cheerleader. And if he was a Konoha boot-licker, then he should’ve stayed in his own lane, but he’s so selfish that he’s got zero boundary rules, just like Sakura. Both of them are horrible individuals.
Not to mention his full support of whatever Konoha’s done. Sasuke was right. Nagato was right. Madara was right. Obito was right. Who does Naruto think he is, trivializing the pain and suffering these people have gone through? Naruto’s suffering is blown well outta proportion by his fans.
We know that he used to play with Kiba, Shikamaru, and Chouji when he was a kid, so he had friends:
Hiruzen also put up with his terrible attitude until he didn’t die:
They were even granted a C-Rank mission ’cause Hiruzen was being lenient to Naruto:
Even Kakashi was surprised ’cause he wasn’t expecting it, but Hiruzen always showed Naruto leniency. This whole “Naruto suffered more than anyone!” nonsense is blown to hyperbolic proportions. None of the other orphans had the Hokage showing them favors and being nice to them. How nice was Hiruzen to Sai and others? How nice was he to Sasuke, making him live in a place where a genocide took place? How nice was he to Kabuto, letting Danzo use him as he saw fit? How nice was he to Neji after he gave his father’s head to Ae over Hinata’s kidnapping? How nice was he to Orochimaru’s victims?
Naruto constantly defaced monuments and destroyed public property and no one did anything, but people gave him “meanie” stares, so it’s tragic? Naruto’s life doesn’t even compare to what people like Sasuke and Nagato faced.
His classmates were annoyed by his show-off attitude, and they were right!
He constantly gets others into trouble. It’s ’cause of his selfish attitude to show-off that Sasuke nearly died against Haku and Orochimaru:
Thank God Haku hadn’t aimed at the critical points when Sasuke shielded Naruto, otherwise he’d been dead! Against Orochimaru both Naruto and Sakura got Sasuke nearly killed:
When they get into trouble, they start begging Sasuke to bail them out:
And he did bail them out at the cost of a seal that’s got a 1/10 chance to survive:
There’s no difference between Sakura wanting acknowledgment and this kid’s apprehensively selfish attitude:
He constantly feels insulted by Sasuke’s presence and his progress:
How’s it Sasuke’s fault that this boy isn’t very bright? This “fitting in” nonsense is exactly why so many Incels relate to Sakura and him. I don’t understand how his fans think that Sakura’s mean, but Naruto’s a very nice guy! Look at him making fun of Sasuke, a genocide victim, when he lost to Lee; but when Sasuke (rightfully) calls him dead-last, all hell breaks loose!
He hates Sasuke for no reason but the fact that he’s popular and he’s not. Typical Incel behavior. He also picks fights with him for no reason simply ’cause he hates him (not my words):
He’s so nice that he thinks that he’ll use Sasuke’s image to make people hate him:
Yes, I don’t want this “but he’s a poor lil’ orphan” excuse. Sasuke’s an orphan, too. So were the Ame children and Neji (he was a slave). I don’t see them doing any of this, and all of them had it way harder than Naruto ever did.
Not to mention his tendency to pull out deadly Jutsus to show Sasuke that he can one-up him in fights!
Look at this brat picking a fight with Tsunade ’cause she hasn’t drunk the Konoha kool-aid like him:
People give Sakura flack for the same reasons, but why is this kid given a pass when he had the favor of both the hokages? Not only that, but how is this obsessive attitude:
… different from this?
I see no difference. Both of them are detestable! They don’t care what Sasuke wants. They just care what they want, and none of that changed till the very end!
Naruto fans can hate me all they want, but he just reeks of the behavors Incels, like Sakura, exhibit in spades. They’re perfect self-insert canon-fodder for average (male or female) people.
EUR/USD: Bullish: Increasing risk of a short-term top.
We have been holding the same view that the outlook for EUR is “still bullish but odds for extension to 1.1300 are not high” since Monday, 22 May. While the price action since then has been confined to a relatively narrow range, upward momentum is showing signs of waning and the risk of break below 1.1130 has grown considerably. From here, unless EUR can move above the 1.1265/70 high seen earlier this week within these 1 to 2 days, it is getting increasing likely that the bullish phase that started last Wednesday, 17 May is nearing an end. That said, a break below the 1.1130 would signal the start of a consolidation phase and not a major bearish reversal.
GBP/USD: Shift from neutral to bearish: Immediate target of 1.2830.
We have warned over the past couple of days that GBP is topping out and “a clear break below 1.2920 would greatly increase the odds for a move towards 1.2830”. The 1.2920 support was just taken out at the time of writing and based on the rapid pace of decline, a break below 1.2830 would not be surprising. The next support is at 1.2775. Stop-loss is placed at 1.2975.
AUD/USD: Shift from bullish to neutral: In a 0.7380/0.7480 range.
Our bullish expectation was proven wrong as AUD just edged below the stop-loss at 0.7430 at the time of writing. This pair has likely moved into a consolidation phase even though the immediate bias is for a probe lower towards the bottom of the expected 0.7380/0.7480 consolidation range.
NZD/USD: Bullish: Target at 0.7050/55 met, eyeing extension to 0.7090. [No change in view]
The immediate 0.7050/55 target that was first highlighted when we turned bullish on Tuesday, 23 May (spot at 0.7000) was met as NZD touched a high of 0.7059 yesterday. While the rapid pace of rally suggests that caution is warranted, further extension to 0.7090 would not be surprising.
USD/JPY: Neutral: In a broad 110.20/113.10 range.
There is no change to the current neutral outlook for USD. While the price action over the past few days has been rather muted, supports and resistances are far apart after the outsized drop last week and the key levels are still at 110.20 and 113.10.
