milo. milo. i have a question. is it hard learning how to ride a motorcycle? like how long did it take you???? bc one day i really really really want a motorcycle and i figured youd be the best person to ask.

it wasn’t too hard!! it was a little scary at first bc am just smol baby and bikes are Big and Sometimes They Fall Over™️

other than like... dirt bikes and crotch rockets my first time driving a Real Bike myself was literally two days before i got my license :^)

i am a very firm believer in the concept of always practicing motorcycle safety. you won’t catch me on a bike without my protective gear. i recommend checking out the motorcycle safety foundation and their basic ridercourse which is what i did to get my license. it’s a three day intensive course and it’s VERY good. they have locations where you can take their course all over the us with certified instructors.

there are all kinds of safety scenarios and things they go over that you wouldn’t generally learn on the road until it’s too late. it’s also a great thing for people who don’t have anyone who will or can ride with them to get in the hours that you need for your license.

also, they usually provide the bikes which is cool. all you need is a helmet, gloves and a jacket. they have a secondary class that you can take for further safety instruction after you get your own bike so that you’ll know how your bike will respond in controlled situations before you encounter them in The Real World

you need a motorcycle permit for the course (obviously) but the test for the permit is pretty easy since it’s a written test. all you gotta do is give the dmv motorcycle handbook a good read through before you take it and as long as you have even a SHRED of common sense it’s a no-brainer.

( that’s me at my msf ridercourse last summer!! me and my fringe jacket ended up in the local newspaper :^) also i hope you don’t mind if i answer this publicly because maybe someone else will see this and maybe it’ll help them out too!)

Hey Alphabet Lore Werewolf AU (except Fang, he's probably still not askable and I don't want to bother him...), It's Mod Mocha/crxamflavxredpxdding again!

Today, for Firestar's third visit, she will run a few tests with some letters. They're not harmful.

The first test: The hugging test.

She won't hug them, she'll make a motion of putting her arms around someone, and the letter she does it on will feel a soft hug. She wants to see the reactions she could get out of some of them.

The second test: The scare test.

She won't sneak up, but she'll do this motion of putting a mask on her face. The letter she does it on will feel as if they're being watched. She'll record the reactions, but will reverse the effect if the letter is uncomfortable.

Third and final test: The water test.

She won't put water on them, but her eyes will turn a pristine blue, and the letter she does it on will feel as if they're underwater. She'll record the reactions, and will reverse the effect if the letter starts shivering.
