Q - Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?
Haha well let’s say that the number of “discarded” projects depends on what I decide to count as actually abandoned and what I am still clinging to the idea of someday finishing and/or occasionally tinkering with on any given day. I have several long-abandoned Alias WIPs, and there’s maybe one that I might pick up again one day and clean up/continue because I liked the premise a lot. I have a whole bunch of semi-abandoned Doctor Who WIPs and/or series where I totally meant to write another fic after the last I finished, but thanks to Steven Moffat my interest in DW plummeted and it became hard to stay interested. I have a Vampire Diaries fic that I still pull out and tinker with/add too every so often that I swear I’ll finish someday and an idea for a fic based on the Shades of London book series by Maureen Johnson that would be fun to write if I could just get around to it.
So basically I have some stuff that’s willingly been abandoned and then a bunch of stuff that I keep telling myself I WILL pick up again, lol.
G - Care to share a favorite crack fic?
Oh gosh, there’s so much great crack fic out there, it’s hard to come up with one favorite. I tend to like things that end up with the “crack treated seriously” tag on AO3, lol, or else just really shameless super fun crack, like any magic/science/supervillainry did *insert weird cracky thing* to the Avengers and now the one unaffected person has to mind them and solve the problem type ficlets.
H - How would you describe your style?
Hmm, this is a difficult question. I think I work really hard to match character voices, and even in fics where I actually get plotty I still do a lot of character study/characterization work, so I think that’s an important part of my style. The stuff I wrote more recently was more likely to be written in present tense, though not always, and when I did write in present tense I was usually trying to be more ~artsy~, lol.
U - A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.
I really, really want to write some MCU stuff with various ships, mostly Darcyland plus Stucky. I have an AU plotbunny gnawing at my brain that’s Olympics AU where Steve, Bucky, Darcy, and Tony are tennis players, Nat is a gymnastics coach, Clint is (obviously) an archer, Thor does the throwing events in track & field for, like, Norway, and then I still haven’t figured out everyone else lol. But that would end up Steve/Bucky/Darcy ideally.
X - A character you enjoy making suffer.
I actually don’t really ever write (or read, for that matter) whump and I barely even write hurt/comfort (though I do read that). The closest I get to this is probably the fics I’ve written to help work through my own angst about plot developments - the handful of post-Journey’s End fics I wrote, for example, some of which you could argue, I suppose, were whump-y for Ten, or the one Reign fic I wrote which was super angsty Bash POV fic because I was upset about the direction the show had taken wrt Mary/Bash. Generally speaking though I am much more likely to write fix-it fic than whump or even hurt/comfort.
