Lol did you see the post that a Scott/Posey stan made about how people should Boycott, Dylan's movie American Assassin because it's Islamaphobic. I'm pretty sure I heard that they were make it non Islamaphhobic. Secondly and The Movie has not even come out yet Lol they are so jealous that Dylan actually has a career and Posey doesn't.

I haven’t seen it, but it’s not hard to imagine really. I also haven’t heard much about AA yet, but it really seems unlikely that anyone could say anything about it’s content yet. And tbh I wouldn’t only take tumblrs words on whether something is x-ist/phobic or not without any other source/having seen it. I mean, just look at Scott stans and the things they call racist (or anyone remember that time I was called a misogynist for criticizing Scott.. ? or an ableist because of Scotts asthma... like..)

So many people are just like 'he screwed up once but don't forget he's a POC actor, I'm sure if Dylan would have done that you wouldn't call him out like that, everyone just waits for actors of color to make a misstep' and - it's not just once? He did this for attention so obviously, same as so many other things, it's kinda cringy? And you know, Dylan didn't do that, that's a thing? And I'm kinda laughing here bc you predicted a lot of that (including the apology)

And the thing is, when Dylan & the stolen artifacts happened he was called out by so many people, stans included. I can’t remember anyone outright excusing him and saying ‘oh he’s just a silly guy who does ridiculous stuff like that!!’, sure, people stuck up for him and didn’t want the hate to get out of hand, and that’s okay! But they didn’t just brush it off.

But the thing is, this doesn’t have anything to do with Dylan anyway! Not one thing! And I wish the day would come that those two don’t get compared anymore, but I think the world will end before that happens.

I’m not buying it for a second that Posey meant to support LGBT people with that. It was a joke. Nothing more. You cannot tell me, that a guy like Posey, who knows gay celebs, who’s part of a cast that has brought out like half a dozen Charity-T-Shirts and a show that has raised money for several causes, couldn’t think of a genuine way to support a cause he cares for. Hell, he could’ve written a song if he just wanted to spread some love! Anything but this fratboy shit.

why do you hate Louis?

I don’t really hate Louis or Dylan O’Brien for that matter because I don’t know them personally and any of their shortcomings are filtered through a lens of media that they don’t have full control over [this is in opposition to, for example, hating a politician for espousing views that would enact actual political roadblocks and hazards to an undeserving populace].

But I do hate that they typify the mediocre white male glorification that is never granted to PoC or women who are always subjected to higher standards in achieving, elevating, and maintaining their fame and relevance.

Also they’re just unprofessional.  Although Dylan is an actor and Louis is a musician, their actual jobs are as celebrities and role models.  For them to be so slovenly and thoughtless is to normalize the constant culture of “forgive the white boy for he was ignorant” motto that predominates this kind of fanaticism.  It’s really a dangerous message to send to impressionable young people, many of which stan the white guy in question anyway.
