Not a lot of people think of your demon boy as being of the cuddly variety. Especially since most of them meet the business end of his knife. But when he’s sleepy and just wants to lay on top of you at the end of the day? It’s like everything in the world goes quiet and all you can hear is the quiet hum of his glitches as he settles in. 

His hair is fun to play with as he rests his head on your chest, occasionally being able to sneak a kiss to the top of his head without him playfully snapping his teeth at you and nearly catching your nose. The way he purrs when you slip your hand under his shirt to hold him closer and let him feel the warmth of your skin against his. He’s normally an absolute heat sink, so you’ve learned to load up on blankets during the winter, although it’s an absolute godsend in the summer time when it’s too hot for even covers. 

When he gets this tired, he’s usually beyond words and just wants to snuggle up with you, maybe he’ll growl at you a little if he doesn’t get his way immediately. You’ve been scooped up from your work, swept off your feet in the kitchen, even picked up by the ankles and taken back to your room so he can sleep. You’ve offered to get him something else to cuddle with in your absence, but he doesn’t sleep as often as you do so it’s not really fair to not oblige him when all he wants is to be with you. 

But right now, you just hear his quiet purrs as he squirms just enough to get comfortable again before resuming his snoring. A lot of the time he likes being able to grab your hand and press his lips against your fingers, perpetually making you feel like royalty even in slumber. 

Over the years, he’s gradually been just stealing your pajama pants, and latched onto a comfortable pair of flannel ones with pockets, and a buffalo check pattern. The cutest thing in the morning when you spot him hovering in the kitchen just trying not to face plant into his morning cup of coffee. But when the pant legs ride up as he’s sprawled across you, trapping you against the bed? Unmatched. 

“Sleep well, mo mhuirnin…”

You place one last kiss to his brow before tucking your face against his, holding him close as you let the exhaustion consume you as well.

Anti is like a cat, will follow you around the house begging for attention, bothering you and stopping you from what you're trying to get done, then the second your attention is fully on him, yelling at him probably, he's gone. Poofing off in a mist of smoke, the sound of his laughter ringing around the room.

"Anti you know how import this project is, I need to get this done today." You huff trying to shut the door in his face but by the time you've closed and locked it, he's standing in front of you with a smug ass grin on his face.

"Yeah but what about my needs?" He says leaning in like he's going to kiss you.

"I spend every goddamn day with you, let me have five minuets of peace." You huff and push him back lightly.

"Fine, fine." He says and poofs what you hope is somewhere far away so you can get to work. You sit down at your computer and start to get to work when in the middle of you sentence you see 'The mitochondria is the power house of the cell!'

"Anti!!!!!" You groan and delete the sentence.

'I was just reminding you, no need to be rude :( '

"It's rude when it's in the middle of what I was writing!!"

'These numbers are boring! What if we do something fun? I can teach you the proper way to disembowel a man!'

"No??? We're not doing that!!" You save your document then storm upstairs to him room in the attic. He's laying on his bed casually, book in hand that's upside down that he's pretending to read.

"Oh hey I was wondering when you would get here." He says with a shit eating grin.

"What the fuck do you want!!" You cross your arms.

"You look real cute when you're angry." He chuckles before vanishing again to reappear inches from your face. "I just wanted your attention and now that I have it..." He pauses and leans forward to kiss you until you're breathless. Anti gently cradles the back of your head so he can kiss you deeper, close to devouring you when he stops out of nowhere and looks at you with alarm.

"Hey don't you have that paper that's due today?" He fakes concern and you can feel your blood pressure rising.

"YOU ASSHOLE!!!!" You scream and try to swing at him but he's gone again laughing so hard he's almost choking.

Word Count: 1,558

It seemed like everyone aside from Anti knew how you felt about him. The boys had been hyping you up, trying to (not so) subtly hint that you like him. He never seemed to pick up on it, and you were always too bashful about it to say it to his face. Even when you’d work up the courage, it would dissolve into an entirely different interaction because you just couldn’t get the words out before your confidence wavered. Though the boys had decided today was the day. 

See, sometimes Anti would be having a bad day. And you knew better than to put any pressure on him for a serious conversation when all he wanted to do was chug coffee and go off on his own. But he seemed in a decent moment for it, and your supportive boys were eager to help you finally confess. Jackie, Marvin, and JJ were all there, getting your confidence up enough that maybe you could say how you really felt about him. 

“It’s not that hard.” Marvin said, scoffing before Jackie punched his arm. “What? Everyone has feelings, but I guess it IS for that dumbass so it could be scarier.” He had to fight back a smirk seeing you only get more frazzled. 

“That is NOT helping!” Jackie groaned. “Look, ignore him.” He turned to you and placed his hands on your shoulders. “Anti is a lot. But you like him! It’s a beautiful feeling to like someone that much.” He beamed at you, trying to soothe your nerves. It was an odd way to do it, given he was practically bouncing up and down in excitement. “He’d be stupid not to like you back! You guys spend so much time together, and he’s nicer to you than literally anyone else in the world. I promise it’ll be okay!” 

Jackie’s words did make sense. But what if he was wrong? He was a pretty oblivious person, and he had even admitted before that he’d never been romantically interested in anyone specific before. You still trusted him, though, and knew he truly believed what he was saying. It did boost your confidence, even if only slightly. 

“I don’t know Jackie…I mean what if he just tolerates me without feeling romantically about me at all!” You groaned, rolling your head back and glaring at the ceiling. There was a pause before anyone else said anything, but Marvin decided to pitch in again. 

He flicked your arm, making you look over at him with a pitiful glare. “Even if he doesn’t like you, isn’t it better for you both to know?” Marvin raised an eyebrow, and you could see the warning glare Jackie was giving him from the side. Despite Jackie’s glaring, JJ seemed to nod his head slightly in agreement. “It’s better to say how you feel and be rejected, than to not say anything and ruin the possibility of something that could be a good relationship.” He shrugged, as if not caring. But you all knew better. He did want you to be happy. 

Meanwhile, JJ had been scribbling on his notepad furiously as if to say a lot more than just a few quick words. But you noticed how he erased or crossed things out a couple of times, wanting the words to be meaningful and beneficial to you. Turning it, you read while Marvin and Jackie curiously read from over your shoulder. 

“He may be harsh, but he’s kind to you. Wondering what COULD be isn’t bad, but Anti doesn’t think about the future. He thinks about the present. From there, you could both build the future how you want it to be.” His words were more than meaningful, and you could tell how much truth was in those scribbles on the page. The kind smile on his face when you looked up from the notepad had you giving him a soft smile in return. 

“You guys are right…just thinking of how it might go wrong definitely isn’t helping…” You mumbled, taking a deep breath to steel your resolve. “Okay! I’m really gonna do it this time!” The words were hushed, knowing Anti was a few rooms away. If he had overheard this conversation it would have been more than embarrassing. So with the supportive glances of the three boys, you walked into the gaming room where Anti was busy trying to finish a game he’d started. 

Anti turned to look at you briefly before returning his gaze on the TV. “What’s up?” He said casually. “Long level, hold on.” He muttered just loud enough for you to hear. 

But suddenly all of the words you’d wanted to say dissolved into a cluttered mess of unorganized thoughts. You nodded, not that he could see it, and walked over to take a seat beside him. His focus was entirely on the game, and you were silently grateful for it. If he started a full conversation immediately, you wouldn’t have been able to try and formulate the words you wanted to say. 

The level was over far too soon, and he set down the controller. Reclining back in his seat, he looked over at you with an emotion you couldn’t name on his face. “Need something?” He spoke, not uninterested, but still curious. “You really look like you wanna say something.” He raised an eyebrow, and waved his hand as if to give you the stage and lead the conversation.

You took in a deep breath, the words you’d prepared dissolving into what you felt in the moment. “You know…we spend a lot of time together. I think I even see you more than I see most of my friends. And it made me notice a lot about you.” His silence gave you the signal to keep going. “The way you like your coffee, the small signs of when you’re starting to get irritated, and the way you treat me better than you seem to treat the others.” 

He scoffed at that, but didn’t interrupt. 

“Even if it’s not something you feel…I do feel attracted to you. And…I like you. The way you talk about things, the way you stick your tongue out a little when you’re really focused on something, and even the way you tug your hair when you’re seriously pissed.” You fumbled with your hands in your lap, too nervous to look at him in fear of the potential rejection.

But he gripped your chin in his fingers and made you look into his eyes. You were baffled by the emotions you could see in them. There was almost a hopefulness there. A mixture of eagerness and reluctance conflicting with each other as they danced in waves in his eyes. “You mean it?” He said, softer than you’d ever heard him speak before. 

You nodded slightly, eyes wide as you took in just how beautiful his eyes were as you looked into them. He moved quickly, and you jolted at the sudden change in his demeanor. 

“FUCK YEAH! I’ve been waiting so fucking long to-” He blinked, realizing his lack of filter became apparent again. He cleared his throat, blushing at his own outburst though he tried to hide it. He paused for a moment, and huffed before looking back at you. “I uh…I mean yeah. You’re pretty cool too.” His own attempt to keep up his confident composure had him scowling, though there was still the underlying tenderness you saw earlier. 

You laughed, and he glared at you openly before his eyes widened when you kissed his cheek. “I’m glad…I really have been trying to confess for a while now. I-I just got nervous…you know? It’s a scary thing. I didn’t wanna ruin what we had by making it awkward.” You laughed sheepishly, but spoke gently. “They boys helped, I won’t even lie. They’ve been trying to help me work up the courage for a while now.” 

He blinked in surprise, raising his hand to touch where you’d kissed him. But he huffed, rolling his eyes. “They don’t know how to mind their damn business. But if it helped…I guess I can forgive them this time. Maybe.” He clicked his tongue, but turned his focus back to you entirely. “I’m glad they helped…I guess.” He muttered, but it was clear he was pleased with the outcome. 

“Come on,” He said, standing and taking your hand in his as he led you out of the game room. You both paused when he opened the door before he started screaming. 

The boys all fell into the room, clearly having been pressed up against it to listen to the conversation. Jackie even screamed, looking up at Anti’s furious expression. “ABORT!” He yelled, all three of them scrambling out of Anti’s reach to another side of the house. 

“THOSE FUCKERS!” Anti screamed, and you couldn’t help but laugh as he chased after them. 

Yeah…you were sure of it. You were happy with how things turned out. And even if he could be hot-tempered, he still had the capacity to feel just as much love. He was kind, even if he didn’t ever admit it. But he showed his love in different ways, and you were eager to spend even more time with him. You knew you’d be happy with him. 

And you’d make sure to make him just as happy.

look I’m all for letting people enjoy being fans their own way as long as they aren’t causing any harm to anyone else but x reader anything just piss me of

they usually make the character a mafia bad boy type with a fem reader and all the usual booktok tropes

and honest to god they don’t particularly add anything to actual discussions on the media

I would even argue they are worse than those powerscaler dude bros

so obviously because of my clear strong opinions on reader shipping I did the logical thing and attacked whoever did it ……..……. lol no I just blocked the tag

But even with that the problem with the bllk fandom is that scrolling through recent posts just gives a wall of blocked tags
