Every time someone compliments me on how well learned I am on geopolitics and the the such for someone my age, I have to not only keep a straight face and thank them, but do so while knowing that most of my knowledge on history and the likes comes from the hetalia phase I had back in middle school.

not to defend the DCEU but the whole “see, DC movies should be fun and hopeful!!!” thing circulating after the Superman movie purposefully ignores that a decent chunk of DC comics (including some about Superman) is actually pretty damn dark.

sure, there are fun storylines and humor, there are absolutely lighthearted moments, but DC comics also had identity crisis, the Dark Knight Returns, and a poll on whether or not to kill Jason Todd, so…

I think this is a very character dependent thing

like the superman film being hopefully and bright helped those dark moments hit more

in the same vein batman being on the darker side with moments of light also makes sense

I think the tone of each dc movie should be it’s own thing yk I fell that would make each project stand out instead of making them blend into each other and become homogeneous

I watched the Lanterns trailer and I have to admit I’m kinda bummed. Like I know it’s just the teaser trailer so I shouldn’t judge yet but I was hoping for the show to be more of a space adventure type beat. Like a buddy cop adventure in space with Hal teaching John the ropes while having wacky adventures in space yk . But they’re just solving a mystery thing in some random town on earth??

Here in India most people know about it actually it was a pretty big tragedy, like even today I believe some of the kids being born there suffer from a bunch of disorders cause their parents were affected by the gas and it passed to them

The new twst anime has been out and as a long time fan of the game i love it but honestly the more entertaining part to witness is the crash out some of these guys are having in the comment section.

like one dude was like Disney is alienating its straight male audience by producing this and because of that he will not support them anymore.
