Look, I understand you’re just calling out hypocrisy, but anyone who has experienced being mocked or harassed for supposedly “problematic” ships should not be doing the same thing back to ordinary people who ship the same pairing as the harassers. Even if that ship is more problematic than yours.
Kl@nce shippers are often awful, but saying that Kl@nce is a bad ship for bad people is not okay.
Kat.aang shippers often attack Zutarians, but that doesn’t mean we should say “Kat.aang is pedophilia/incest and therefore no one should be allowed to ship it because it’s morally wrong” because at the end of the day it’s fiction and people can ship whatever they want. You certainly shouldn’t say “Kat.aang shippers are incels and boymoms,” because that’s actually engaging in harassment yourself.
Perca.beth shippers will go after any ship that isn’t canon, but that doesn’t make it okay for anti-Perca.beths to say “you can’t ship it because it’s abusive and if you like it you like abuse” because again, that’s harassment.
And you certainly shouldn’t punch down on people whose ships you consider “really” problematic. Like the Zutarians who hate on Reylos, and the Sheith folks who mocked Shidge shippers.
All ships are okay. All ships are valid. If you say “ship and let ship” but you only mean your ship specifically, you are just a fancop wearing a proshipper hat.
