This is a weekend that’s definitely going to call for cocktails and some intriguing conversations. Luckily this new addition to the shop helps set the stage for both. Meet Lucy Stafford, the rare antique monogrammed serving tray made by Rogers & Bro. sometime around the 1880s. 💪 Weighing in at just over 5lbs it’s made of hard white metal, which is an alloy containing tin, copper and antimony, so it’s up to all sorts of heavy duty tasks. My favorite parts of this tray are all the decorative elements including the backstamp, but most especially I love the fancy monogram and all the stories it invites. Just who exactly was this mysterious Lucy Stafford?! And where did she live? And how many times did she tote this tray all around her house? There is nothing like some good guesswork when it comes to conversation shared over cocktails!
