Drule Character Bios
I’ve discussed the Drules as a people on this blog before but haven’t talk about the individual characters very much besides Hazar and Dorma. Therefore I’ve written some brief biographies about some of the Drules in the Vehicle Voltron season of Voltron: Defender of the Universe. Keep in mind this is not a complete list of all the Drule characters. There are A LOT of them, so I’ve narrowed it down to the ones who either played a major role in the series or who I personally found memorable. I might add more characters to this list later but for now I think I’ve covered most of the notable Drules.
Name: Emperor Zeppo
Dairugger Name: Emperor Corsair
About: A greedy, power hungry schemer. He manages to avoid capture by promising Hazar he’ll give up his war making ways if the rebels let him go. However, upon escape he makes for planet Dema where he’s secretly building up a new army to resume his conquests.
Episode to shine: Zeppo’s role isn’t nearly as large as you’d think. He doesn’t get much screen time until late in the series.
Name: Grand Viceroy Throk
Dairugger Name: Supreme Commander Al Caponero
About: Throk is one of the most power hungry, prideful, and outspoken members of the Supreme Council. He’s vocally opposed any sort of cooperation with the Galaxy Alliance, seeing them as invaders out to steal planets that rightly belong to the Drule Empire. Not only that, but sees making peace with the Alliance as an insult to the Drule’s honor, something he ties strongly to their military might and conquests, and pride. He absolutely hates Hazar for his attempts at peacemaking and, it’s implied, is jealous of Hazar’s power. At one point Throk imprisons Hazar in his palace.
At the end of Vehicle Voltron he and a few other members of the council flee planet Drule and presumably joins Emperor Zeppo on planet Dema.
Episode to shine: Plays a major role in many episodes, but if I had to pick one I’d go with “It’s Anybody’s World.”
Pheo Corvidae is not what you’d call a Smart Man

This. Is. Antor's. Song. This is Antor's song. I found it late in the year so I'm surprised it's on the list but it's a testament to how obsessed I've been with it.
Please listen to it omg. It's my favourite fucking song for him. Honestly these are just his Emotions. He could sing this in the book word for word throughout the series. Plus this is his voice claim (one of them).
His kids he could be singing about could be Astrea, Will, and even Elayna. Cuz despite their origins, he loves them all the same. And he's watched them all grow up. Protected them. And all of that.
It makes me cry when I listen to it on repeat.
can i get uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh antor breaking the fourth wall. for the lulz

lol you know I love writing challenges.
I'll help him out with breaking the fourth wall this time. This is something I bet he's been wanting to tell me for a while anyways. (Also, sorry, this got more serious than you probably wanted looool)
Pre-Book 1 | Antor, Young Will, & [redacted] | WC: 975 | Breaking the Fourth Wall |

"What are you doing?" Will's voice cracked as he watched Antor toss letters into a bonfire.
8, 9, 15, and 24 for Antor!
(-@tragicbackstoryenjoyer)
Hey there! Thank you for this!
Antor my beloved ❤️✨
8. Is there something your character deeply regrets from their past?
Leaving Ezekiel and Illyera to be killed by Hadrien. This was so he could take their children to safety [baby Astrea included].
Not a day goes by that he does not wonder if he could have saved them if he stayed.
9. If asked, would your character say they were happy as a child?
Probably not. He had a lovely dog and lovely parents. But they died when Antor was a teenager. He watched a border skirmish kill them. It was why he joined the military in the first place, to avenge them and take revenge on the bordering nation that killed them.
Before they died, maybe he was happy. But it feels like too many life times ago for him to admit anything close to happiness.
15. Who does your character look up to and who do they despise?
Looks up to Ezekiel, Illyera, Edrei, and Astrea.
Venomously despises Hadrien.
24. What do they like about their appearance?
He doesn't really notice much about his appearance. He's not one to care about his scars, or his metal arm, or his other physical ailments.
But he does like one thing. His magical tattoos on his back. They're swords that come to life if he summons them. Ezekiel tattood them on him. Antor looks at them in a mirror sometimes to fondly remember Ezekiel. He prays he's able to make Ezekiel proud by raising his daughter [Astrea] to defend herself.

Thank you for these!!
