I'm so mad that post was misinformation because there is actually an EXTREMELY important conversation to have about the production schedules artists are forced into. There's no need for exaggeration, the conditions are bad.

I work for webtoon. My publication schedule is weekly. While publishing I'm required 10-15 pages a week. Fully colored.

This means I'm finishing a 150 page fully colored graphic novel every 10-15 weeks.

When my comic is not updating, I am not getting paid. Any time writing, editing, or off is out of my own pocket. I don't get healthcare. They do not provide any assistants. They expect me to promote myself; they chose to deprioritize me before I even launched and gave me an end date half a year in. I never had a chance.

And this is the industry standard! Every company has artists forced into crunch hours, overtime, and burnout. Artists are literally dying early due to it. So many of my friends can't afford to go to the doctor.

It's unsustainable and untenable, and it's also the expectation our audiences have.

If we want to have this conversation, there's plenty of conversation to be had with the realities of the situation. It's bad as is.

my sharing status w/ damon is a little weird and inconsistent and i think maybe i should change to non sharing or selective sharing at the very least?? mirror sharing was just a default i had but to be honest thats bc i never really... ran into another Damon selfshipper lol. I am currently moots w/ one but they dont really talk about him much bc it isnt a primary f/o so I kind of just forget about that one. And there's another one but they're nonsharing so I've had them blocked since like, day 1.

So my point is I dont really know how I'd feel about seeing someone else selfship with Damon as seriously/as hard as me. I always say that everyone's versions of their f/os are different and that my Damon can be diff from someone elses Damon or w/e but I really dont know how I'd actually react to a scenario like that.

Anyways if you see my sharing status change over the next whatever, then that's why. I wouldnt even really be strictly a "dni if you ship with damon" sort of nonsharing. as long as ppl have a tag thats blockable i really dont care bc i can filter things out on my own. i wouldnt demand fidelity or w/e and if for some reason a moot starts to selfship with him i wouldnt break it. it would just be more of a "hey i dont rly wanna see this so pls just tag it so i can filter it out" sort of thing lol

but again it just depends on my moods!! sometimes im chill about it but other times (especially recently, probs bc ive been so stressed and insecure) i just cant deal with even thinking about damon with someone else 🫩 i feel so fucking pathetic dude but hes really so important to me so its just hard.
