This is the afterword. Basically my thoughts and feelings after this 5 year long journey ends.

I’ve been on a mad dash to finish this by today, because... instead of being sensible and writing a little each day over the course of the spring (since I made the decision to finish this by my birthday this year), I wrote it in a...mad dash over the last month or so, on top of all the art projects. (Insanity, I know)

And I wanted to finish it on this day specifically, because I felt that there is a sense of poetry in it, because I am now the same age as Solara was in the beginning of the first book. 

I think it’s suiting. I think it’s... a good point to finish this journey. I have given them a family, and brought the story to a conclusion. And it is the one thing I have ever wanted to finish in terms of this hobby. 

Right now, I feel a little bit... solemn. Maybe a little bit like Fuegoleon, in this story, once he became the Wizard King. Once he reached something he had wanted to accomplish. Even though his was a life long dream, and mine was only a few years. 

So... perhaps I feel solemn, perhaps I feel a little bit melancholic because the journey came to an end. And a little burnt out. 

But maybe I am a match, and all I know is to burn
