Me: knew Ao3 was going to be down for maintenance, accepted that & stayed calm

Also me: completely panicking that Ao3 is down for maintenance, have decided to contact the Etsy Witches for help

Well i just had a panic

There was a posted AO3 link. I clicked it. it said i needed to log in.

I sigh. cause that happens sometimes. I log in. EVERYTHING LOOKS RIGHT, right down to my AO3 Skin.

It prompts me to change my password. Then I notice it.

does that say .gay instead of .org ?

I instantly go back to one of my already open AO3 tabs that I know is safe. I can't find a place to change my password so i log out, then log back in. I am on the change your password page again.

Importantly, it says .org

I change my password. Breathe sigh of relief.

Go back to a different AO3 tab. I was JUST about to answer a comment when this happened. Decide to click refresh, just in case.

Page whites out and says I can't view it without being logged in. So I log in again. Page stays white. Where's my skin? Go to my dashboard. Still no skin and now... now it says i only have 1 - *ONE* - posted fic.

instead of over 480.

Cue Panic.

Thankfully, another refresh brought back my skin AND all my fics.

Did AO3 glitch?

and was i right to panic about the .gay extension? Because I've never seen that before and I am VERY suspicious but it KNEW my viewing Skin for AO3 and i know sites can mirror stuff but how did it know THAT?

People and creatures who post on AO3, I need to know, is the AO3 curse real?

Cause I REALLY want to post my fanfic writings and everything but I'm so afraid of this curse. I have a lot of things on stake right now. College, my scholarship, my lack of employment, ect.

If it is real and you've experienced it, can you let me know what happened cause I want to post so badly, but I REFUSE to download Wattpad again after they fucking butchered it.

Like, I might post on Tumblr too, but I don't know. It's kinda been iffy with my drafts lately.
