Featuring @skostoflight's Liadan (my beloved)
Aodhagan is the youngest of my ffxiv OCs, starting ARR at about 19 years old (give or take a year since no one's 100% sure how old he is). He was born in the Steppe but his parents brought him to Eorzea when he was still a baby, where they abandoned him in the Shroud. No one really knows why they did, or where they are now, or if they're even still alive. He tries not to think about it too much.
What was Aodhagan's motivation for becoming a paladin
To be honest? He largely stumbled into it. He's a bit of a drifter as far as life path goes; he originally lived around and worked with Buscarron at the Druthers but was feeling isolated and decided that maybe travelling and seeing more of the world would satisfy him more. So he made for Ul'dah (and met @skostoflight's Toshasha in the process), trained as a gladiator, and kind of just. became a paladin.
He likes it though. He's kind of... not bright, but he's got a heart of gold, and he loves being able to fight for people and protect them.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Thank you for asking! :D I kind of want to answer this for all of them if that's okay!! Spreading the love shdjkfgjh
F'yllis: She has a very long tail, and when she's focused on a task that she's excited about, it can get very animated. When she was young, her mother would berate her for not being able to sit still, and so often when she'd be reading or playing a game or something, she would put the tip of her tail in her mouth to keep it from going wild. She still does this if she's by herself and focused on something.
F'ystran: Chronic nightmares. They vary in subject occasionally but usually involve his family's flight from Ala Mhigo.
Eli: They're a pacifist by nature but have an incredibly mean left hook if they're forced into it. They have punched their boyfriend (an OC of @skostoflight) twice. It was before they got together and Eli still occasionally feels guilty for it.
Aodhagan: Incredible at things like food service. He grew up around Buscarron's Druthers and earned his keep by tending bar, cleaning, and dealing with any brawls that broke out. He's since become an adventurer but he is known to tend the occasional merchant's stall for a bit of extra gil from time to time.
Mini-intro of my current most active FFXIV OCs!
F'yllis Brun, Summoner main, my official Warrior of Light. Ala Mhigan refugee turned adventurer. She/her. Bookworm, amateur researcher (with a focus on history, arcanima, and technology), lover of G'raha Tia, consummate wanderer, and chronic overthinker. Doesn't know the meaning of the word 'idle'.
Eli Maudlen, Bard main. Ishgardian runaway who joined the Scions as a mender at Tataru's urging, and best friend to @skostoflight's WoL, Liadan. They/he. Crafter, pacifist, and all-around gentle soul. 6' and 10" of pure, unadulterated anxiety.
F'ystran Tia, Dark Knight main. Older brother of F'yllis and no-nonsense old man. He/him. Not a Nunh but could be if he wanted to. Protective of his family in the way only a Sunseeker man can be. Follows F'yllis on her adventures and hates how often they take her to cold places.
Aodhagan Barre, Paladin main. Xaela orphan who grew up in the Twelveswood after being abandoned by his parents. He/him. Not the brightest bulb in the box but has a strong sense of justice and will help anyone he thinks needs protection.
