Age of Empires II HD got a new update...
...but you still can't change the resolution of your game just like in the original release.
They are going to add that shit to the "Definitive" Edition and they'll skip the HD release, aren't they?

Missed Opportunity. (AoE2)
“Jannissaries originally were meant to be heavy foot archers rather than unique Hand Cannoneers, this was more historically in line with the historical Turks in Age of Empires II medieval era time period. Janissaries also could be upgraded into unique Hand Cannoneers, this was later changed due to an archer unique unit already existing.“
New year means NEW MUSIC
Going to release this one in next 12 h #aoe2 #remake #music
Trying to get good at Age of Empires 2. I must start by getting better micro play while doing some campaign missions. Eventually I want to head into multiplayer and hopefully not get destroyed.
(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emHZdY8GsPw) Time for new Age of Empires 2 Remix apparently. People voted, so here you have it. T Station music from the soundtrack. I like Age of Empires tunes, they are calming, but still fitting for action and battle situations. T Station is really neutral composition when you think about it. It goes somewhere, but not that deeply that is changes too much, and in that I believe it shines.

(via https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKte4_npdpI) This is I think one of the most known Age of Empires II songs from the soundtrack. It summarises the atmosphere going on on the game and is usually heard at the beginning of the game (that's my experience usually)
It has pretty interesting instrumentation from flute to synth string in the original. My intention was to make original sounding sounds, and in most part it worked. However, some alone sounds are taken from the original to get the feeling, still keeping the updated soundscape.
