I can't be the only one who feels that frazel isn't creepy? first of all, it's a very innocent and pure relationship. I believe they've only kissed 2 times, and I certainly can't see them doing anything more than a quick peck on the lips.

now, lets do some math, since uncle rick cannot:

Hazel turns 13 on December 17, 1942, when she is brought back to life by Nico, she is brought to camp jupiter in september 2009. We know this because she had met Jason before he went missing in October 2009. She would turn 14 3 months later in December. the climax of son of neptune takes place on June 24th, Franks birthday is June 5th, which means he had only turned 16 a few days ago, and has been 16 for only 2 months by blood of olympus. This means that Hazel was 14 when she met Frank, and Frank was 15. When they begin dating, Hazel is 14 while Frank is 16, but this is only because we have not yet reached Hazel's birthday in this year. The events of heroes of olympus take place during the months between their two birthdays, the months where Frank who would normally only be a year older is actually 2 years older. Thus, they are 1 year, 6 months, and 12 days apart.

If we use the logic that Hazel turned 13 that year instead of 14, since supposedly she was resurrected after what would have been her 14th birthday, and therefore would have been 13 in heroes of olympus, than she is still only 2 years, 6 months, and 12 days apart. That's not bad in my opinion. especially considering that once they become adults, those 2 years will be completely obsolete. Though this is technically canon, its incorrect math and doesn’t make sense timeline wise, it's an oversight on Rick Riordan's part, but whatever i'm willing to excuse it.

Then, once we see them in the tyrant tomb, Hazel is 14 while Frank is still 16. because once again, the book takes place in between their birthdays. So in conclusion, the higher, but incorrect estimate is 2 years, and the lower, what its actually supposed to be estimate is 1 year.

fairondale is so underrated honestly, cast long shadows was really cute and he had this really sweet schoolboy crush on her. lucie was all excited telling him about cordelia and goes “is she not the prettiest girl you ever saw?” which on it’s own is adorable how happy and bubbly she is around him, but THEN matthew responds “all i know is that you have every other girl in london beat to flinders.” and it’s just 🥺

and once the Great Sin™️ happens, lucie hugs him and comforts him over the dramatics of the day, and matthew says, and i’m quoting, that “he did not feel worthy of being touched by her.” and it’s angsty as hell but magnificent.

i think once matthew works on himself and heals from his trauma it could be a really sweet and healthy relationship. i’ll always love blackdale though.

criticize toa all you want but we have to agree that meg and apollos bitchy siblings relationship is the greatest thing to ever grace the riordanverse. they love eachother so much and hug while cussing eachother out, the only accurate sibling relationship in the whole fandom and they aren’t even siblings
