Portland has a ‘secret’ blog where he posts pictures of his siblings. It’s mostly candid pictures of them doing random things, typically stupid ones. Like Bath eating a greasy sandwich or Augusta dangling from the side of a building.
However, sometimes he posts these really pretty photos of them, like Cape looking out over a sunset on the ocean or Lewiston walking the edge of the Androscoggin next to graffiti. People keep trying to guess if it’s a bunch of friends of his or possible lovers, as they don’t think his family could be THAT big.
All the other Mainers know about it and follow it, often leaving even more confusing comments, such as ‘God, I love you’ and ‘Who’s THAT BITCH?’
Maine: So. Who broke it? I’m not mad. I just want to know.
Lewiston: I did. I broke it…
Maine: No. No, you didn’t. Portland?
Portland: Don’t look at me. Look at Augusta.
Augusta: What?! I didn’t break it.
Portland: Huh. That’s weird. How did you even know it was broken?
Augusta: Because it’s sitting right in front of us and it’s broken!
Portland: Suspicious.
Augusta: No, it’s not!
Bangor: If it matters, probably not… Cape was the last one to use it.
Cape Elizabeth: Liar! I don’t even drink that crap!
Bangor: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?
Cape Elizabeth: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Bangor!
Lewiston: Alright let’s not fight. I broke it, let me pay for it, Maine.
Maine: No. Who broke it?
Peeks Island: [whispering] Maine, South’s been awfully quiet…
South Portland: Really?!
Peeks Island: Yeah, really!

Maine: I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it. I predict ten minutes from now, they’ll be at each other’s throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick. Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.
For the next week, I’ll be taking questions for a couple of places in Maine, rather than the normal group. The takeover is consisting of: Bath, South Portland, Lewiston, Cape Elizabeth, Peeks Island, and Bangor! Information for each will be below the cut. The two main characters of this takeover will be Bath and Bangor!
City: Bath
Name: Morgane
Birthday; Age: February 17th, 1781; 237 years old
Gender: Female
Personality: A hard worker, Morgane practically lived in shipyards from ‘birth’. She’s sometimes a bit bitter over losing her nationwide popularity over time but is extremely proud of her city’s ship work. She generally wears her hair short and adores fixing up old ships, especially those her or another Mainer either built or worked on. She spends a lot of time with both Portland and South Portland but honestly finds both get on her nerves too easily. She does get along with Augusta, however. She has an extremely helpful personality, even to people from away.
City: South Portland
Name: Adrienne
Birthday; Age: March 15 1895; 123 years old
Gender: Female
Personality: Technically, Adrienne was never part of Portland. Rather, she was part of Cape Elizabeth, who used to be part of Falmouth, which later became Portland. She knows the name is confusing. As the fourth largest city and one of the youngest, Adrienne has a tendency to make things into a competition, much to the annoyance of Portland, who often finds himself dealing with her games the most. She looks up to Portland, though he often avoids her.
City: Lewiston
Name: William ‘Will’
Birthday; Age: June 1st, 1795; 222 years old
Gender: Male
Personality: The second largest city in Maine, Will used to be a lot more confident. He never thought the mills would ever fail. When they did, he was crushed. For years, he was on a downward spiral. With his current renewal, he’s skeptically optimistic. Will doesn’t expect everything to go back to the way it was but he hopes to make his home a better place. And he is! The city, which used to be one of the most dangerous places in Maine, has become one of America’s safest cities, beating even Portland. He’s open to many people from away, due to his large amount of immigrants currently residing in his city.
City: Cape Elizabeth
Name: Ena
Birthday; Age: November 1, 1765, 253 years old
Gender: Female
Personality: Often too snobby for her own good, Ena stands out from her fellow Mainers, especially the other girls. While she enjoys the outdoors, she also prefers parks and stone paths to mud, grime, and hunting. Regardless, she’s actually held in pretty high regard by the other cities. When push comes to shove, Ena will fight for what she believes in, no matter the cost. She’s very close to Peeks Island, though she often shakes her head at his attempts at becoming his own town.
City: Peaks Island
Name: Maxwell ‘Max’
Birthday; Age: July 4th, 1883; 134
Gender: Male
Personality: Max lives with Lucas (Portland) on his island, though he wishes he could kick Lucas out most of the time. To be fair to Lucas, he only has his name on the deed for show. He actually lives in an apartment in the city and only hides out with Max to escape Adrienne. Max is even more welcoming to stranger than Lucas is known to be. Unlike Lucas, this actually isn’t an act. While tourists can be annoying, those he meets are typically okay, leading him to feel more neutral to them than any other city/town. However, it’s not too hard to push his buttons, leading to a rather drastic shift in personality, showing off his more ‘Maine harsh’ side.
City: Bangor
Name: Biron
Birthday; Age: February 12th, 1769; 249 years old
Gender: Male
Personality: The third most populated city in Maine, Biron acts more posh than he really is. Not because he wants to or anything, he just feels like people take him more seriously when he does. In fact, Biron has a statue to Paul Bunyan, something that gives him a lot of joy. He also has had a lot of issues with the laws of his state. Back when Maine became a ‘dry’ state (Banned Alcohol), he stayed ‘wet’, mostly due to law enforcement turning a blind eye to the illegal substance. However, life hasn’t been all nice to Biron. He was the site of the bloodiest shootout in Maine history and major fires devastated Biron, especially in 1911. He hates his city’s nickname ‘The Queen City of the East’ but only due to the jokes about him being a drama queen.
