Usually I pronounce PrUK like "pryoo-kay", but for this event I'm inclined to pronounce it like "pruhk-tober" or "prook-tober" since those flow better and sound more like October than...

APH Neurodivergent Fandom Week 2019!

Neurodivergence is often hidden or swept under the rug in fandom, so we’re proposing a week to appreciate our amazing neurodivergent creators in the Hetalia fandom! The event will take place from September 1st to the 7th, and all entries will be reblogged here!

GUIDELINES:

What does it mean to be neurodivergent?

“Neurodiversity is a concept where neurological differences are to be recognized and respected as any other human variation. These differences can include those labeled with Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyscalculia, Autistic Spectrum, Tourette Syndrome, and others.” (According to Syracuse University)

Can non-neurodivergent creators partake in this event?

Yes, but please keep in mind that the theme of this event is celebrating neurodiversity, so please make sure that your entries reflect that message in a respectful way.

Do all of the characters have to be portrayed as neurodivergent?

Nope! Just make sure that the focus of the work is on neurodiversity and centres around that theme.

Any other rules?

As said before, please remember that neurodiversity is a sensitive subject, so make sure that you are respectful and don’t rely on stereotypes. Do your research. Aside from that, just the basics. Tag your nsfw and potentially triggering content, all that jazz. Just use common sense. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

At last, submissions for this years holiday exchange are open. As always, this is a cozy little exchanged geared towards being more fun and less stress - the requirements are lower than those of the summer exchange, and this time the deadline extends into the New Year!

The Calendar is back for a second year!

What ?

The PruAus Advent Calendar is a fan event based on the tradition of Advent Calendars. Every day of December, leading up to the 24th, one piece of fanwork will be revealed on this blog.

How to be a part of the calendar ?

Simply head over to the google spreadsheet (link here) and claim whichever prompt /day you fancy! You may claim multiple days, but please be absolutely sure you will be able to fill them. We will allow multiple claims of one day only if all other days have been claimed.

Once you are done with your fill, submit it to this blog and we will post it on the appropriate date! :>

When

The claiming starts now, and will be possible until the actual day. For any day that has not been claimed, the mods will provide a quick fill.
