aph nordics and assembling ikea furniture
norway: quite enjoys it, actually. it's quite calming, just following the instructions and focusing on just that for a bit. a clean, simple process ending with clean, simple furniture.
denmark: a mess. there are screws, chair legs, bits of paper everywhere. he doesn't understand what he did to deserve this hell.
sweden: his happy place. he doesn't shop in ikea for the furniture (but the furniture holds a special place in his heart, too); he shops for the experience.
finland: it's... a bit of a struggle. the finished product is... off, somehow. he gets it done with minimal frustrated curses, but this table is not stable.
iceland: instructions? who? he may not end up with something that looks like what he bought, but he does end up with something beautiful. sure, this bedside table was meant to be a wardrobe, but now it is an avant-garde piece of decorative furniture, hand-painted with traditional icelandic patterns.
