Do you have any favorite stories of tempting humans?

Maite: Hmm... Well... the first soul I tempted is quite the story...

I remember coming across that girl. It was only moments after her mother was taken from her... Oh, how she looked that killer in the eyes...

I managed to convince her to fight back. To get revenge.

To make them feel the same pain they dealt.

Oh, she complied. It was vicious. It was brutal. But it didn’t stop there, no. She came back to me a few years later. She wanted to strike a deal... Help her get rid of all those who wronged her family and people. Help her make those bastards pay. All that for her soul.

Now she serves me in Hell. I spared her from eternal torture. My little... gift to her for allowing me to use her for a test run.

(( Where’s the lie? No, but there’s actually a reason why they’re so much more childish (?) nowadays. Back then, they were far more autonomous and constantly dealing with some form of struggle. They were also expected to act more like adults since back then, they were considered adults at a much younger age. Nowadays, they’re less autonomous and allowed to enjoy simplicity and a less serious manner. Maite kind of made them this way, too; the way she treated them rubbed off on them. Now they’re just crazy hot messes (most at least). ))

(( AT LAST! IT IS DONE! This has been my life for the past 5 days- I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest of time but postponed for a couple of reasons: I wasn’t confident enough in my art to do so, I changed the states’ designs many times, and didn’t really how to do it. But after mastering full body and everything in between, and also coming up with a finalized design for each state, I finally got to it. It took a lot of research, for sure, for the state designs. Each state has its own culture, further diversifying Mexico. I wanted to show that in the states, especially Mexico’s multiethnic part. For example, Northern Mexico has a lot of European and Asian influence from the various European/Asian settlers that established themselves there; Central Mexico has a wild amount of different influences, including Arab, Asian, Caribbean, European, and African; Southern Mexico has a lot more indigenous influence because of the isolation from the mainland, also including African influence in the Costa Chica region. Anyways, yeah. After a lot of work and frustration, it is done :D ))

But to answer your question, anónimo, I’d say Araceli and I are tied as the gayest state. I’m pretty sure no one is the straight enough to be the straightest. The most is... 99%.

( Ay. Poor things. You won but all sunburnt ) (( I read this one article that said that the people of Naco, Arizona (U.S) and Naco, Sonora (Mexico) get together at the border to play volleyball. So, I thought drawing the Border States playing a “friendly” game of volleyball would be nice. Ha. Poor Norteños. They sunburn easily because they’re so pale. ))
