what were the most significant state reactions to calmen

Austin didn’t know Carmen was gay before she told him, so that was a surprise and then she’s like, uh, hey, I’m kind of dating Cal and Austin’s reaction was pretty much just ??????????

Charlie and Nate were both somewhere in between ‘it could have been worse’ and ‘we’re so glad you’re not doing drugs or dating a complete asshole’. they got Carmen a ‘congrats on finally coming out of the closet’ cake and Cal threatened them with murder. 

Sierra was pretty annoyed because “we could have been queer together, Carm, what the fuck”

Here I bring a... kind of redraw as well of this character that I did back in Middle School along with a friend of mine, and it is an Hetalia OC of my state, Sonora! 

Being honest, I don’t have a lot about personality and such about this character- we just did it as a silly little thing at first ;;; but, maybe I’ll develop him a bit more now that I have him back again!

(( AT LAST! IT IS DONE! This has been my life for the past 5 days- I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest of time but postponed for a couple of reasons: I wasn’t confident enough in my art to do so, I changed the states’ designs many times, and didn’t really how to do it. But after mastering full body and everything in between, and also coming up with a finalized design for each state, I finally got to it. It took a lot of research, for sure, for the state designs. Each state has its own culture, further diversifying Mexico. I wanted to show that in the states, especially Mexico’s multiethnic part. For example, Northern Mexico has a lot of European and Asian influence from the various European/Asian settlers that established themselves there; Central Mexico has a wild amount of different influences, including Arab, Asian, Caribbean, European, and African; Southern Mexico has a lot more indigenous influence because of the isolation from the mainland, also including African influence in the Costa Chica region. Anyways, yeah. After a lot of work and frustration, it is done :D ))

( Ay. Poor things. You won but all sunburnt ) (( I read this one article that said that the people of Naco, Arizona (U.S) and Naco, Sonora (Mexico) get together at the border to play volleyball. So, I thought drawing the Border States playing a “friendly” game of volleyball would be nice. Ha. Poor Norteños. They sunburn easily because they’re so pale. ))
