''And mortals will always sing of Aphrodite, born of the waves and the seed of Ouranos, ineffable and pure. Hear the roar of her chariot, she who rejoices in the dances of the nymphs along the shores, who drives her chariot into Syria rich in incense, while all the gods yearn for her royal presence.
O Aphrodite, who makes wild beasts howl and who is beautiful as the blooming of the first flower of spring, accompanied by your nymphs, who rejoices in the waves and the smiles of men, who rules all, whom they call Aphroditi, Areia, or even Hades, divine and infernal, queen full of beauty who stretches out in the dawns and fulfills yourself in kisses and beauty, you are divine and in Olympus all songs secretly honor your name.
In the hymns you are Sovereign, and your blessed priestesses honor your name, your deeds, and your reign. O Kypris! Beautiful queen with the golden crown! Be merciful, O goddess, and rejoice in our smiles and our love for the living.
