Aplspec characters in Aros Against Fate:
Kaelía (17) is demiplatonic, like it is for every type of attraction. It feels platonic attraction to Līs and Nesyue. It has 3 friends: Līs, Zhe’ārani, and Qatriong (and then 2, after Qatriong… well, spoilers); it considers the rest of them (including Nesyue) family, people it has a duty to, etc, and will sometimes use “friends” to refer to all of them as a group, but doesn’t actually consider their relationships to be friendship. Kaelía is a main character.
Lí (15) is aplatonic. They’re plato-favourable and are best friends with Daanah, for whom they currently have alterous feelings (but haven’t always; they live close together and go to school together and have always spent a lot of time together which led to friendship), and friends with Reeha, whom they are not attracted to in any way but have known for a long time. They become friends with Jue, driven by circumstance pushing them together, Lí’s aesthetic attraction, and Jue’s platonic attraction. They were in a toxic friend group when they were younger, but that has nothing to do with their aplatonicism, as they’ve always been aplatonic. Lí is a main character.
Miwaanii-Shémelús (17) doesn’t identify as aplatonic- he’s non-SAM quoiromantic- but he is very much plato-repulsed, so I’ve included him. He’s never really had a typical relationship with friendship, and when he was little it was more something he didn’t initiate but could take or leave; the repulsion stems from an abusive friendship in his childhood. He’s repulsed even by most depictions of friendship. He is nonfriending; he does have a close, not-friendship, extremely messy relationship with Daanah, whom he very much puts on a pedestal, for much of the story. (That relationship between him and Daanah is fucking INSANE and really not good for either of them and Causes many Problems in the story and in their lives.) Miwaanii-Shémelús is a main character.
Sei (18) is aplvague. She only engages in friendship through her special interests in fashion and animals. She also has difficulties with communication, object permanence, recognizing that other people have different internal worlds, noticing and paying attention to other people, etc, which also heavily impact how she relates to others and engages in friendship. Sei is a main character.
Maaziariitna (17) is probably apl-spec- she doesn’t bond with people easily due to her ASPD, and though she doesn’t mind having friends once the bond is established, she doesn’t seek out friendship or feel like she’s missing anything without it. He’s a main character.
Guodei (21-ish) is aplatonic and not interested in friendship. She had a best friend once and was forced to kill her, so it’s very possible she is specifically caedplatonic. She is an important secondary character, with a close relationship and many interactions with Kaelía.
[Leska] (19) is aegoplatonic. She’s a supporting character later in the story.
[Aldwyn] (thousands of years old) is aplatonic and nonfriending, and so is her girlfriend. She’s a minor character who only appears in one chapter but talks to Miwaanii-Shémelús about how he is not obligated to have friends.
Luivo (16) is aplatonic. They don’t have much interest in or awareness of other people. They are the step-sibling of a main character.
Zai (17) is caedplatonic. They, like [Leska] (with whom they are headmates), are a supporting character later on.
Naakiiwé (early 20s) is aplflux. He’s Miwaanii-Shémelús’s older brother and probably appears sometimes.
Elèrí (hundreds of years old) is aplatonic. He goes through periods of more and less interest in friendship and partnering, and his interest is currently low. He appears a couple times.
