Apocalypse Cop

As the apocalypse cop, Nick is under constant delirium, thinking all things will end sooner than everyone expects. It doesn't stop him from doing his job as cop though. A perk of appearing insane is that suspects don't take him seriously, they let their guard down which often leads to them to reveal crucial information.

Despite of that, it's true Nick is suffering in some sort of way. Maybe deep down he wishes all things will end so he can escape from his own torment.
