Absolute truth right here. When it comes to fat vs muscle it always surprises me when people say muscle weighs more than fat. No. A pound is a pound. Period. One just takes up more space than the other. Remember, when it comes to fitness, the scale is NOTHING but a number. Every positive change counts! How/what you're eating matters as much as how many times a day you're eating. 6 small, healthy meals a day are better than 3 big, calorie laden ones. You're fueling your body with smaller, healthier, more frequent meals. Fueling your body regularly gives you more energy to do the things. Inches lost mean more than pounds lost. How your clothes fit means more than a number in the scale. Yet so many people adhere to the misnomer that it's the scale that matters most and they get discouraged when the scale only moves a couple notches, or not at all. Every. Positive. Change. Counts. Celebrate them! Celebrate the non scale victories! The looser fit of your clothing, shoes and rings. The drinking half your weight in water that day. The saying no to that 2nd serving or eating smaller portions. Everybody's got to start somewhere. The key is to START!
